Server 2008 R2. We have 4 domain controllers, AD / DNS installed all 4. We built them all at our secondary location, then shipped 2 servers (AD1/AD2) to our primary data site. They are all good. After several days during shipment process, our AD1 / AD2 were powered up and allowed access to the secondary location. However, the group policy is having issues. My AD1/AD2/AD3/AD4 are setup fully transactional. When opening Server Manager/Features/Group Policy Management on the AD3/AD4, I receive one of the following: "The RPC server is unavailable." or "The DOMAIN forest could not be loaded and will be removed. The error message was: Unspecified error" I'm pretty sure this could be related to loss of temporary replication, but I'm looking for a solution. Any input/support would be great. Thanks. Tuesday, April 06, 2010 9:09 PM Answers 0 Sign in to vote Well. I have resolved the situation. These servers were setup on DL360 g6 servers, using HP smartstart and Teamed using the HP utility. Not sure why, but after re-creating the nic teaming...it works properly. Not sure if the nic teaming failed or if there was another issue when nic teaming was setup on the servers. Thanks all of your input. AD2 is pointing to AD1, AD3 and AD4 AD3 is pointing to AD1, AD2 and AD4 AD4 is pointing to AD1, AD2 and AD3 Could this be incorrect? Also, could this be related to domain functionality level? It is slightly possible that my team members se

Thank you, R July 14th, 2010 8:09pm Are you getting these errors on a domain group policy management controller or a member server? If it is on a member server, then you can reinstall the Windows 2003 support tools. If it is on a domain controller, then we may need to come up with some alternate steps depending on the magnitude of errors occurring. -- Mike Burr Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now July 15th, 2010 12:34am Hi Mike, Thank you for the response.
