This option has been locking open files causing admin messages to be locked in GW queues as well as locking open database files which can cause corruption Alternate fix:Opportunistic locking in the NetWare client is locking GroupWise database files and this is causing the changes to not be written back to the server, which is corrupting the domain databases and causing the above errors. Either disable opportunistic locking (File Caching) on all administrator workstations or disable it on the GroupWise server. To disable op locking refer to https://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/searchtid.cgi?/10085899.htm Additional Information File Caching on the workstation where ConsoleOne runs has the Domain.db locked open and the admin message created in ConsoleOne cannot update the domain database.GroupWise Version 8 ConsoleOne snapin now "Checks and Warns" for File Caching and File Commit settingsThe Novell client settings should be set as follows:Right click on the Novell Client Red N down by the clockGo to Advanced settings tabHighlight File Caching and set to OFFHighlight File Commit and set to ONReboot WorkstationFormerly known as TID# 10089124 DisclaimerThis Support Knowledgebase provides a valuable tool for NetIQ/Novell/SUSE customers and parties interested in our products and
