Groupwise Odma Error

Favorite Rating: ODMA Integration Unable to load resource lib (Last modified: 22Dec1999) This document (2952337) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document. Symptom GroupWise 5.5.x/32Bit client users are getting errors on WIN NT 4.0 (SP3 or SP4) on startup of MSEXCEL97 and when doing FILE/OPEN in MSWORD97 or MSPOWERPOINT97. Error in MSWORD97/MSPOWERPOINT97 when doing file/open: "GroupWise ODMA Integration: Unable to load the resource library. Exit the current application, install the resource library and restart your application". The customer DIDN''T install the applications integration (he unmarked them during the installation). The installation has been done while logged in as admin and is a standard GW installation on the local harddrive of the workstation. Later, a different user log into that workstation with no admin rights (he/she do have the default WIN NT users rights). If the customer logs in as the user who is supposed to work with that workstation and reinstalls the GW client everything works fine. We also found out that renaming ODMA32.DLL and unchecking the applications integration in the GW client solves at least the errors with WORD and POWERPOINT. The same error occurs when trying to create a new worklow item in the GW client. Error in MSEXCEL97: "MS VISUAL BASIC. Runtime error 1004. Error executing method ONKEY for the object_application" (This is a translated errormessage!). This occurs when starting up MS Excel97 and a dialoguebox with this message appears 15 times. Solutions In order to resolve this problem, the missing registry entries must manually be added to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry branch. Once added, the keys will be stored for each user in their HKEY_USERS branch, so this needs to be done only one time per new NT user. The missing key which causes the error is as follows: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Novell\GroupWise\Interface Language" This key should have a default value set to the language of GroupWise which is in use (i.e "US" for the English version). This key can be added manually, or via ZENWo

Pack 1 symptom GroupWise ODMA Integration Error: "Unable to load the resource library. Exit the current application. Install the resource library and restart your application". Error occurs in Corel WordPerfect version 8 or 9 after installing GroupWise. Error occurs in WordPerfect when going to File | Open. cause The cause is generally due to the GroupWise Integrations not being installed correctly. In the Windows NT or 2000 environment items added to the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER are specific to the user. So if the administrator was logged into the Windows NT or 2000 box as administrator (not referring to Novell login)and installed GroupWise and then logged in as a user http://www.novell.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=2952337 named Bill he would get GroupWise ODMA Integration Error: "Unable to load the resource library. Exit the current application. Install the resource library and restart your application". However, if he were logged in as Administrator he could do the File | Open without a problem. If Profiles were enabled on the workstation, and the administrator had taken away the right to modify the registry or specifically the HKEY_CURRENT_USER area fix Fix 1: If https://support.novell.com/docs/Tids/Solutions/10011122.html the customer is not using the Document Management at all on the workstation then the problem can be resolved by renaming the ODMA32.DLL file found in the Windows\system or WINNT\SYSTEM32 directory. If you are using another DMS system then do not rename the ODMA32.DLL because this will disable all ODMA integrations.Fix 2: If you are using GroupWise Document Management and in the Windows NT 4.0 or 2000 environments make sure to install GroupWise when logged in as the user who will be using GroupWise.Fix 3: Make sure you are patched to the newest version of the GroupWise client if using Windows ME or 2000. Fix 4: Use Solution 2917418 to learn about the different types of GroupWise integration and as a guide to verify if the integrations are setup properly. Compare the following registry entries to a machine of the same make, build, OS,and applicationHKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ODMA32 and see if the GRPWISE folder is available and it's values match the other machine that is working correctly.HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\NOVELL\GROUPWISE compare the values of the items found to the other machine working correctly.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NOVELL\GROUPWISE and GROUPWISE 5.5Compare the GWAPPINT.INF to another machine that is working correctly. document Document Title: GroupWise ODMA Integration Error: "Unable to load the resource library..." RE: GroupWise ODMA Integration spnea (IS/IT--Management) 18 Apr 00 10:58 Your Groupwise client installation may have had integrations for Word turned on. Which Word then runs the GW macros to open/save documents to/from a GW library. The best way to disable this is to reinstall GW and make sure integrations for you apps are not checked. This will reinstall GW but leave your other GW settings intact.
