I CAN access Ubuntu this error only happens when i try to boot Windows. I was wondering if i could setup GRUB to boot to Windows Boot manager so i could select which windows OS to boot from. Im still in the process of converting over but i still need my other partition. This is all being done from 3 different Hard drives so i know i didnt over right them (also i know by fdisk -l). I will post the Grub Boot here and the out put of fdisk -l so you can see if you know whats going on here. Adv Reply February 22nd, 2009 #2 mike
General January February March April May June July August September October November December error 23 error while parsing number I spent many hours trying to figure out why the hell the latest Debian (Squeeze) broke my boot loader. After a reboot my server has been unavailable. I was getting the error:error 23 error while parsing number because my partitioning scheme was based on software RAID. In my setup /dev/md0 was the root filesystem. To solve the issue do the following. Click c on grub to move https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1077076 on to command line and type: grub> find /boot/grub/stage1 (hd0,0) (hd1,0) grub>root (hd0,0) grub>setup (hd0) grub>reboot and then edit the kernel boot parameter and change /dev/md0 to (hd0,0) Posted on: 05/05/2011 Back to Home page 0 Comments If you want to leave a comment please Login or Register Latest Category Articles How to run Virtualbox 5 on 4.4.1 kernel...... http://linux-knowledgebase.com/en/Tip_of_the_day/February/error_23_error_while_parsing_number (Posted on: 11/02/2016) How to enable JRE plugin in OpenSuSE 13.1...... After successfully (no errors) doing that, I wanted to set up grub to allow me to boot from /dev/hda1 (Mepis), /dev/hda4 (first LFS build) or /dev/sda1 (copy of 1st LFS build). I chrooted into the environment before compiling the kernel compiled
