I have a problem with my computer. I've red an other topic (but I can't find it anymore) and it seems to mee that I have a virus. I can not acces any files or programs. After starting I get Windows recovery which I've never seen before (could be me but I'm not sure) It detects this mistakes and can not fix them if I upgrade it should be able to fix my problems. - 39% of HDD space is unrreadable - boot sector of hard drive disk is damaged - hard drive doesn't respond to system commands - read time of hard drive clusters less than 500 ms - bad sectors on hard drive or damaged file on allocation table Then I got these warnings too: Down besides the time pops up a window saying: Hard drive critical error. I had stored some personnel data and a huge collection of movies which I had collected from past few years on this computer hard drive. I am really in need of these data and I don’t have any backup, so I kindly request you to help me!!! Thanks” Hard disks have a huge capacity to store valuable data or bundle of important information. But no one would take interest hard disk to backup their data or important files so that it can be recovered at the time of hard drive failure, corruption or other issues. Hard drive failure can happen anytime due to bad power supply, virus attack, damaged block and sectors, corrupted operating system files, etc. For an instance the critical hard disk drive error has been detected all of sudden on your Windows system! This error is encountered in your system, when Windows Repair tool has detected a bad sector hard disk error on hard disk. This error may cause the following problems: Data corruption or loss Inaccessibility of the hard drive System error and failure Because of the scratches on Disk platter, bad sectors are formed in your hard drive, it causes abnormal freezing of your system. When you try to recover data from bad sectors, it creates more bad sectors causing more loss of data on hard drive. Resolution: You can help to solve some computer problems and improve the performance of your computer by making sure that your hard disk has no errors. Open computer by clicking the Start button and then clicking Computer. Right-click the hard disk drive that you want to check and then click Properties. Click the Tool tab and then under error checking, click Check Now. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. To automatically repair problems with files and folders that the scan detects, select automatically fix file system errors. Otherwise the disk check will simply report the problems but not fix them. To perform through disk check, select Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors. This scan attempts to find and repair physical errors on hard disk itself, and it can take much longer time to complete. To check for both file errors and physical errors, select both. Click Start.
