I am receiving an error with one of external hard drive my hard drives for some of my files. An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. I have done some research online but the solutions I tried did not work. I tried connecting my WD hard drive to different USB ports on my laptop and the same result happens. I also tried connecting to a different laptop. I tried chkdsk F: /f in the command prompt and that did not find errors and still same result. I also did a defrag on my hard drive as well. I even tried logging in safe mode but that was also unsuccessful. It appears there are no drivers to update. I also tried troubleshoot under the device manager and while it said it fixed something and to try the task again, the issue is still there. I know a person should always have at least two copies of files that are important. It sucks because some of the files are sentimental while others will be inconvenient to get again.
