I have never personally encountered this problem, so I hope this helps. I'm sorry guys.EDIT: 6/21/2014 - Tbone H has this bit of info for the "Delete Volume grayed out" issue:I found an alternate method if your "Delete Volume" is grayed out like mine was. For some reason, WBFS Manager and Disk Management seem to have problems with flash drives formatted in FAT32. All I had to do was change the drive's formatting to NTFS, and you don't even have to do the disk management step this way. This is done by going into my computer, right clicking on the drive, clicking format, and then selecting the NTFS filesystem. Use default allocation size, and make sure quick format is checked or else it will take ages. Once it's done, just proceed as normal in WBFS manager and you shouldn't get an error.http://www.techsupportforum.com/forum...ORhttp://www.vistax64.com/vista-hardwar... Wbfs Format Mac
mod my Wii and install Homebrew channel and that good stuff... Once that was done, I then proceeded to Step 8 to use the
Format Usb To Wbfs
WBFS Manager to prepare my hard drive for use on the Wii. It would not work, and repeatedly gave me errors no matter how many times I retried Step 8. I had posted a thread here asking for help on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyC0nKcbDmM how to fix that problem, then one the posters(I forget the name) told me that the USB Loader will format the hard drive for me also... It took me a while but I finally figured out that the USB Loader will only format my drive if its in a "raw" format. So I did that and it worked. Finally. I then followed through with backing up my Wii games to my hard drive. THE PROBLEM that I'm having, is http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/i-think-i-might-be-completely-screwed-now-wbfs-related.694786/ that I cannot put any downloaded Wii game ISO's on my hard drive now because STILL, the WBFS Manager wont detect the drive. And correct me if I'm wrong, but that program is the ONLY way that I can put a downloaded ISO on that hard drive right? Aside from the disc backup option of course. I click on 'Load' in the WBFS Manager to bring up my drive, but it says: "Error occured while loading drive. Make sure the drive is not in use or open and that it has been formated to WBFS format." Now I'm worried because I can't access my hard drive through my computer at all. All I can do now is add games through disc backup. If I formatted my drive with the USB Loader shouldn't it already be in WBFS format? Or at least something compatible? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. That is what i had to do to get the drive read in the wbfs manager on my pc. I use wbfs manager 3.0 or 3.1 something like that. Ok, what happened was i was formatting my HDD and during the format i cancelled the proccess and from then it gone from bad to worse. I then tried to format it using the Disk manager when you right click on "My Computer" and that was ginving me errors. Then randomly the HDD formatted using "My computer" and right clicking the HDD and choosing quick format and it worked it formatted but when i then checked to see if WBFS manager would format it, it gave me an error saying "Error occurred while formatting drive" and iv tried partitioning like it says on the internet when i researched my problem but still i was getting the same problem. I even formatted it to FAT32 and still did not work. When i first got my HDD it was all working fine and I had lik 10 plus games on it so its not that WBFS manager is not compatible. My HDD is a pluscom 2.5" SATA To USB HDD Enclosure (theres a 500gb HD inside not sure what it is). Any help is welcome, Thanks Tags:WiiHard DriveExternal Hard Drive5y, 4m agoPosted 5 years, 4 months ago Options QuoteAll Comments (36) Jump to unreadPost a commentComments/page:2040605 years, 4 months ago#1Replydcx_badass Delete the partition in disk manager then try in WBFS manager. I have deleted all partitions using Disk Manger an it looks like this:http://yfrog.com/z/jwunledslp (sorry its small, zoom in using the web browser) and when i try to format it using WBFS manager says this:http://yfrog.com/z/n9unled2lxp (sorry again, this is also small, zoom in using web browser)Reply5 years, 4 months ago#2ReplyTry doing some larger images. I can not read a thing on them. Without the better images all i can suggest 1 delete partition and format to ntfs 2 make sure the correct drive is selected by wbfs 3 format to wbfs in wbfs manager Also try a restart between these processes.
