I also get redirected to random advertisements when web browsing. This seems to be occurring to many other people too. Can someone please help me? I did try to change the size of the icons manually via Control Panel/Settings,this had no effect at all. I then tried to download MBAM and the has stopped working installation aborted due to " Failure to complete Shortcuts." The same thing happened when I tried to download and run Adw Cleaner..the tool did not complete installation. I also have not been able to download the latest updates from Microsoft,an on-screen message said: "We are unable to complete the updates,undoing changes." The only information I have is from an Avast! Boot-Time scan which has revealed the following: NewPlayer.exe Adware.FPL.Gen.vb Adware.
