Garry737 Level 1 (0 points) Q: Mobile Me Services error message when I try to start MS Outlook programs I am using Windows XP SP3 and recently had to re-install iTunes as the recommended update wouldn't mobileme services has stopped working outlook 2007 work. I finally was able to uninstall iTunes and re-install it and thankfully no data mobileme services has stopped working outlook 2010 was lost so I could sync our iPod, iPhone and iPad.But, now when I try to start MS Outlook where we have Contacts, Notes what is mobileme on mac and Calendar, the program opens, but freezes then an error message comes uo indicating a problem with Mobile Me Services! Most annoying, but strangely after about 5 minutes, the program unfreezes. I looked it up in Windows Control Panel . I took the chance and removed the program - and it worked! I was able to open all the components of MS Office without messages and freeze, then synced my iPad and iPod with no problems so hopefully all is well. I'm surprised Apple would create such a situation, and then not warn users accordingly. As far as I understand it MobileMe officially ceased as of June 30th 2012. My guess is that a recent change in the support software that ships with iTunes trips up any remaining installations of MobileMe. I have to click on the Close Program button in the error message twice each time it shows up while Outlook is trying to load up. Then I am able to use Outlook. If that isn't there, then to to Control Panel -> Mail(32-bit) -> Accounts and remove the account from the list that you don't want there.
