I didn't bother to buy a settings saver 2006 honda civic radio code error e because I found the security code in my Honda's packet (I bought this car used and luckily the owner was pretty organized with documentation and maintenance records). Initially when I turned on the car...I see 1:01 on the clock. Then when I turned the radio on I see "CODE". So I used the preset buttons (1 ... 6) to punch in my code. However, every time I enter it I see "Err". First "Err1", then "Err2"...then eventually "Erre"! I also went onto this website: https://radio-navicode.honda.com/framepage.aspx?theme=Honda to verify that I have the right security code (I used the radio serial number on the documentation card to retrieve the radio security code from the website) and indeed it is correct. One other thing that I read to try is to hold down Preset 1 and Preset 6 buttons...and then turn the car on. Supposedly I should see the radio serial number displayed. However this did not work. I wanted to do this so that I can verify the radio serial number. I also wanted to do this because in case this radio has a different serial number I can use this serial to retrieve the security code from the website. Now, I'm kind of stuck. Any

There is no longer anybody able to pull codes for you. What you need to do is look throughout your car for a sticker that has it..this could be in the glove box, inside the fuse box or several other places..if you cannot locate it then you will need to Retrieve your radio serial number by holding down the #1 and #6, turn the radio ON, and the serial number is displayed in 2 parts. Only works after the radio says CODe on the display. (or should be on the back or your radio) Record your vehicle Identification number. Once you have that then you need to visit.. https://radio-navicode.honda.com/ If you are

I think it's the most annoying safety feature there is. I'd rather it just got stolen. The dealership has to reset the code and give you https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/106164/How+do+I+figure+out+the+code+for+the+radio a new one. 8 out of 8 people think this is helpful. Mark helpful 125 Report Shawn answered 8 years ago There is a code in the owners manual and it comes on a card the size of a credit card. It is a code that can only be used 5 times and then it automatically needs a new one. if you haven't honda civic radio used it more than 5 times then just enter in the code and it will unlock. If not, then take it to the dealership to get a new code. 10 out of 10 people think this is helpful. Mark helpful 115 Report Chad answered 8 years ago Like the people before me said, its just a code. If you bought it used, there might be a code written on a sticker somewhere in the glove compartment. I have an S2000 and thats where mine was. My car gives you 9 tries to enter the right code before it locks up, at that point you have to disconnect the battery terminals for 60 seconds and try again. I didnt know you needed a new one after 5 times of use, but maybe its different in newer Hondas. 4 out of 4 people think this is helpful. Mark helpful 375 Report Joel answered 8 years ago If you've lost the card, you can get the serial number of the radio by turning the radio off, then hold preset buttons 1 and 6 then turn the radio on, it will say UXXXX LXXXX upper and lower, and 4 numbers give these to the dealership and they'll give you your code. 4 out of 4 people think this is helpful.
