Sorry how to install amd drivers without catalyst if this is a common or stupid question, but i cannot find anything that works anywhere. My computer was running fine with all the right drivers up until yesterday. When http://www.drivers.com/fix_install_ati_drivers.php i booted in (Win7 32bit) it came up with an error saying "No ATI graphics driver is installed, or the ATI driver is not functioning properly. Please install the ATI driver appropriate for your ATI hardware." So i downloaded the latest driver off the website (Radeon HD 5000 series) and tried to install it. The instillation failed tho saying http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic/ati-installing-display-driver-failure "ATI Display DriverFinal Status: Fail, Version of Item: 8.812.0.0000,Size: 90 Mbytes" (and also failed HDMI/DP Audio Driver) with the error message "Driver Install: Windows® version does not support this operation." From google searches i have tried installing previous driver versions and using driver sweeper (+ rebooting ~100 times) but all have had the same error. Is this a problem with the actual graphics card, or does anyone have any solutions? Thanks you for reading. Reports: · Posted 5 years ago Top JesseW Posts: 53 This post has been reported. Update: Ive tried uninstalling EVERYTHING ATI. Now when ever i click on 11-1_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_ocl.exe it goes through the extracting process, then just stops ans disrepairs. . . It doesn't even try to install the drivers and Catalyst Control Center. Any ideas on this new situation? I'm afraid i'm in way over my head with this stuff.
