if it is that fan, run the machine at your peril until you 50.0 fuser error hp laserjet p1007 replace it - if the cpu gets too hot and blows that'll be an expensive repair...Cheers,Stuart ElflettEasy Parts--------------------[emailprotected]http://elflett.freeservers.com/service.html-------------------- by Stuart Elflett

on May 21, 2001 at 8:31pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Most definitely the upper fan over the formatter board. For a 2" fan it can make a heck of http://www.advancedlaser-hp-error-codes.com/error_58.htm a lot of noise. Except for the $150 Epson fans, it's the most expensive little fan I've ever seen. Cost is over $50. Blew me away first time I ever priced one. by moe on May 21, 2001 at 10:37pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I was working on a laserjet 4 with the 58 error. plactic pieces were stuck in the fan from the http://fixyourownprinter.com/posts/1399 damaged top cover. This was keeping the fan from turning. I removed the plastic and presto. by tverden on Feb 13, 2008 at 2:36pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 How do you remove the cover from the 4v? by Anonymous on Jul 28, 2008 at 9:56am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Open the front cover like you are changing the toner. There are two screws that hold the top cover on at the top right and left sides of the opening. There is also a cable to the operator panel. by Stephen on Jul 28, 2008 at 5:31pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I opened up the printer and the culprit was the 2" fan was not spining. Does anyone know where this fan is available? I just touched the fan and it started spinning. I lost the error code but the fan is screaching and should be replaced.Charlie Brackett[emailprotected] by Anonymous on Jul 29, 2008 at 5:31am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Good luck on your search. I started looking a few days ago for a replacement fan for my HP 4P and found prices ranging from $6 to $150.

Posted on Monday, April 16, 2001 - 11:27 am: Does anyone know what error code 58.3 means? I can not find any information on this error code on this printer. Mike Posted on Monday, April 16, 2001 - 12:33 pm: 58.3 means you have a fan motor failure in the printer the 3 tells you it's the fan motor number 3. Fan 3 is located under the top cover, once top cover is removed you will see a small fan pointing up. First check the cable, then try replacing the fan, last possiblilty is a bad DC Controller.
