Then simply scroll down to the Error 79 listing and read the available info. Basically, you should first try new updated Printer Drivers, because they are free from the HP.COM web-site. I would recommend that 52 scanner error m521dn you try loading new Printer Drivers directly from the HP web-site, rather than simply using the Driver Disc that came with your printer. The old drivers may have become corrupted and could be causing possible problems. First you should open your "Control Panel Utility", then open the "Add/Remove Programs", then under "Install/Uninstall", highlight and REMOVE any old Printer Drivers that may already be installed. Sometimes the same older drivers can be corrupted and conflict with newer drivers. After removing your old printers and drivers, go to the HP WEB SITE and download the latest drivers for your printer and system. You can then go to this link: " h20015.www2.hp.com " on the Hp web-site and procede to download the needed printer drivers. Simply read the information, make your choices and follow the prompts to download new drivers...If you have a spare "Toner Cartridge Assembly", then you may want to try that next, because in the "4 ", a defective toner cartridge can cause the 79 service error. If it does not help, then simply reseal it in its protective bag and put it back into the box, untill needed. From there its then a process of elimination, with the other Hardware and Accessories listed on that

The printer automatically begins a 05 SELF TEST after power on and then displays a "50 Service" code. Seeing that most 50 error codes are fuser related and I had never replaced the fuser or even serviced the printer before this, I assumed that the fuser was the issue. I ordered a error hp laserjet maintenance kit and replaced it. It went through the 05 SELF TEST and 02 WARMING UP mode and then I heard a click. Now I still get the "50 Service" error code again. Turning the printer off for 15 minutes does not fix the problem. This is not identified in my book or on your website. It must be more serious than just a fuser related issue. Any Suggestions as to what a "50 Service" code means? The power supply makes logic voltages and supplies 110 volts for the fuser. The "50 Service" can mean that the fuser is not warming up or that it has overheated. Is there any way you can get these fusers into another LJ 4 to test them? If you have a meter you could check for 110VAC fuser voltage at the power supply. The connector is in the front end of the supply. Remove the plastic side cover and whatever sheet metal to get at the front end of the supply and check for 110VAC at J102. There must

Add your answer Sign in to answer a question 1 Answer from this member: For the HP LaserJet 4 Plus a 41.3 paper error is: Paper multi feed or wrong size paper 1. Paper size selection (S/W) does not match the installed paper tray 2. One of the paper cassettes is overfull or improperly adjusted 3. Paper is out of spec Other things that could be done. Reset printer by pressing the continue key. Clean around corona wires. Check, and reseat laser scanner cable connections. Here is a website for HP LaserJet family printer error codes. Something to check for printer jams: Open the rear door of the printer. There is a paper sensor near the upper right hand corner of the fusing assembly (just below the right edge of the long yellow warning sticker on the fuser) that can cause paper jam error messages even when there is no jammed paper in the printer. Toggle the thin black plastic lever up and down to make sure it is not stuck or sticky. The lever should be in the down position before closing the back of the printer. If the lever is stuck or missing, the printer will generate a false paper jam message. Complete the following to troubleshoot a paper jam issue: Visually inspect the paper path and identify the location of the leading edge of the paper when the jam occurred. Open the top cover, remove and inspect the print cartridge, and open the rear output door to isolate the location of the jam in the paper path. Inspect the print cartridge for gear damage. Replac
