the 2000-sheet tray (tray4 with A4) that causes paper jams. When preforming 3 different paper path tests I have noticed that the paper size of tray4 changes to A4, A3 and unknown (mostly A3). I geuss it's the sensor PCA because the big tray is not http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/34117 damaged. Any advice or documents related to this error? Thanks in advance, Steven Respond to this 0 Yes. Make sure the piece which moves when you change the paper is sitting firm in the base. That piece is what activates the fingers at the back of the tray which make contact with the switches in the back of the 2000 sheet feeder. I have seen many cases where the piece is not firmly seated and all sorts of crazy things start to happen with paper size. It usually happens right hp laserjet after paper is added to the tray. It is not that the tray is damaged, but the design of that piece leaves a little to be desired. Best way is to empty the tray and then remove that piece and move it to a different size setting and watch the fingers move. Move it to the size you use and note how the fingers are positioned. Now load with paper and make sure the fingers are in the same position. by dmzcompute on Dec 5, 2005 at 4:52pm Add hp laserjet 4250 comment Please sign in to comment 0 Thanks! I have checked the pieces and the position of the fingers with another HP8100. All seemed to be in place correctly. I will try your tips tommorrow. To be continued..Did those 'crazy things' also happened with a defective sensor PCA? by teclogics on Dec 5, 2005 at 5:20pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I do not know what sensor you are referring, however, very rarely does a sensor go bad. I can count on one hand the number of bad sensors I have seen over the years and I have serviced a ton of printers. You also need to run a configuration page and make sure the paper in the 2000 sheet feeder is the same size as that specified by the software. When you run the configuration page if the size detected is not the same as what is in the tray, then you have an issue with the fingers or the switches in the back. The frame which holds the paper is usually the key. by dmzcompute on Dec 5, 2005 at 6:51pm Add comment Please sign in to comment Nothing wrong with the tray or fingers..Found out the error is related to error 65.11.01 Description:The detected tray is not consistent with the paper size specified by the Paper Handling Controller.1.
