But a lot of new people don't seem to use the Search function at all. Which turns into a lot of repeating previous answers. (Do a search on the drum heater Xerox fault code, and you might see what I mean) by wlulham on Nov 2, 2005 at 12:48pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Before I looked it up, I said to myself "he's from NY".Fact is, people don't want to bother reading. They don't read the forum rules, which do appear in front of them before posting. They don't read the thread and post right below the response to their question.Since anonymous is a newbie with only the 2 posts in this thread to his credit, he probably doesn't realize I'm the forum moderator and the site is called fixyourownprinter. That implies that you do your own research before you post a problem for the 53rd time. It's actually a lot faster and easier to put HP 4000 41.5 into the search engine as suggested in the forum posting rules, which do pop up before you post. by moe on Nov 2, 2005 at 6:07pm Add comment Please sign in to com

The machines with their strong print engines, durable parts, and low maintenance requirements have made HP's laserjet printer quality legendary. However, as these machines age more problems are starting to happen. One of the more common error codes hp laserjet in the HP laserjet 4000, 4050, 4100 as they age is the 41.5 printer error. In this article I would like to point out the different parts in the HP 4000, 4050, and 4100 that can cause the 41.5 printer error.Troubleshooting the HP 4000, 4050, 4100 41.5 Printer Error.Several things can cause the 41.5 printer error in the HP laserjet 4000, 4050, and 4100. The easiest one to check is the feed/separation roller hp laserjet 4000 in the tray or inside the cassette cavity. Make sure they are properly clipped into place especially the tray roller. Sometimes when cleaning or replacing like when the PM kit is needed people pull the roller out and quickly install the new roller not bothering to check and make sure the roller is clicked into place. It has to mesh with the black torque limiter and the limiter on the opposite site has to mesh with the metal shaft the two parts sits on for proper installation. Second and the most common one I see is the feed assembly behind the tray 1 pick up assembly. I’ve made it a spare part to carry around in my car stock. There really isn’t an easy way to troubleshoot this other than to make sure the feed/separation rollers are properly installed and try to print from tray one and see if the 41.5 printer error happens from that tray. If the 41.5 printer error doesn’t happen from tray 1 then best bet is to replace the feed assembly. The third cause of the 41.5 printer error in the HP laserjet 4000, 4050, and 4100 could be a broken or damaged sensor flag for the feed or registration assembly. One flag sits in the middle of the regi
