Solved Exchange ActiveSync returned an HTTP 500 response during FolderSync Posted on 2012-01-09 http 500 SBS Exchange Microsoft IIS Web Server 1 Verified Solution 6 Comments 1,499 Views Last Modified: 2012-05-12 I hope somebody can help me. We run SBS 2003 SP2, nothing fancy just a plain vanilla setup. Our network was originally configured to support ActiveSync devices. However, something has gone wrong. Using the https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ website I was able to determine that there was a problem the foldersync command with the OPTIONS command so I followed the steps outlined http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883380 on that link using method 1 and then rerun the Internet and Email wizard to finish up but it has left me with another problem. The next stage on the Test Exchange Connectivity website, the FolderSync Command fails with the error 'Exchange ActiveSync returned an HTTP 500'. I have looked at many Microsoft articles but they all relate to Exchange 2003 as a separate product on vanilla Server, I'm unsure how to troubleshoot this problem on SBS. Surely the wizard should have configured the user permissions all ok? I hope somebody can help. Below is the log from https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/. Thanks, Dave.
