to confirm your license on a regular basis each year. Activation is no longer the process of activating a Company File. Instead you activate your license of the software upon installation. Therefore, upgrading to the latest version of AccountEdge will also address any activation/confirmation issue. Additionally, with the upgraded AccountEdge, there is no longer a limit on the number of company files you can create. Error 12037 Reasons for Confirmation Failure Error 12037 If you move your computer system date forward into next year, you will get the following error when trying to Confirm Online: An error 12037 occured attempting to contact MYOB. Adjust your system date and try to confirm again. Reasons for Confirmation Failure Reasons why a file will not confirm: You are using a different version of the software than what we have registered in our records. We check version number, platform, and product. For example if you have Mac serial number and you try and confirm it on a Windows machine it will not work. If your system clock is on the wrong date you can not confirm. If you try to confirm too many times it will lock you out. For example if your system clock is wrong and you try to confirm 4 times and then fix the system date you will be locked out. Due to update to to Mac OS X 10.5.8 and later systems, customers attempting to activate or confirm company files in MYOB AccountEdge v2009 and earlier will either hang the application or receive an "Unable to Connect" error message. Unfortunately we do not expect Apple to address this issue. To confirm company files with older versions of the software developed by MYOB, you will need to use the Phone Confirmation option or upgrade to newer version of AccountEdge. If you are unable to confirm, please call our Customer Care Team at 800.322.6962. Is this article helpful? Do you have any feedback about this article?
