up vote 30 down vote favorite 9 Why when I access an aspx (e.g., http://www.example.com/foo.aspx - not the real site) through IE6 would I get a 404 Error (i.e., "The page cannot be found") in IIS6 I've got scripts enabled for the website and I've tried with executables enabled as well. Here is the full error: The page cannot be found The page you are looking for might have 404 - file or directory not found. iis7 been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Please try the following: Make sure that the Web site address displayed in the address bar of your browser is spelled and formatted correctly.
