But still getting above error. Please suggest. If you get an error that says Only Positive Integers Allowed, you're trying to save a string into a column that is expecting a number. Most likely the Sub Project drop down's value is set to a string but because the column is a lookup, it needs to be a number instead. To fix this error, right click on the Sub Project dropdown and choose Dropdown list properties. Then underneath Entries, change the Value from d:Title to d:ID. After you republish the form, the form should start saving properly. infopath share|improve this question edited Jan 28 '12 at 3:03 Louis 3,689819 asked Jan 27 '12 at 18:29 Maria Burton 74721832 I have resolved the issue by fixing the "Set a field" action rule for the 1st drop down to store ID of the second drop down instead of title. Now it's all fine. I am posting the answer in the event someone else running into same issue. Thanks MB –Maria Burton Jan 27 '12 at 18:34 Does this question relate to SharePoint and InfoPath? If not you should ask it in a specific Infopath forum, since it will be considered off-topic for our site –Anders Rask Jan 28 '12 at 13:31 a bit late, but for the record: yes, this is an intersection of SharePoint and InfoPath. –Reacher Gilt Aug 17 '12 at 15:21 add a comment| 4 Answers 4 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote accepted I have resolved the issue by fixing the "Set a field" action rule for the 1st drop down

I have looked through different forums to try and find a solution to this, but have not had any luck. Within the SharePoint List Form there is a List Filter that deploys the project title to the project title field. After the project title is filled in the field is highlighted by a red checkered box, and "Only Positive Integers https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/0726d17f-a478-4e4e-a23a-d8fe4cb6dd86/only-positive-integers-allowed-infopath-form-2010sharepoint-list?forum=sharepointcustomizationprevious Allowed" appears. The project title field is not a required field, but it is a lookup. I have gone to InfoPath and have checked the settings there as well: The field's value is set as d:ID rather then d:title. Cannot be blank is unchecked and the form publishes successfully. I read that a quick fix to this would be by going to the Main Data Connection>dataFieldsand selecting the proper field, once there deselect "Value". However, when I went to the Default Values section to complete this there wasn't a Value field to deselect. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I just had an issue where adding new data into my datasheet view caused my IE to crash. It appears that this happened because I had a people picker field that allowed for multiple selections. I created a new list and instead of using an InfoPath form, used the SharePoint form, and then put in the same people picker field allowing multiple selections. This time it worked and IE did not crash. Greg Baker Marked as answer by Hemendra AgrawalModerator Thursday, February 14, 2013 4:49 PM Mond

Column throws only positive integers allowed 28. I created a InfoPath form with some standard columns /fields and then i added a lookup column to another list. I did it just as the many times before. But in this case the lookup column had to be mandatory. What is makes infopath 2010 the difference? A lookup column looks up the values from the other list and displays it in a dropdown list. Nothing special. But when you make it mandatory the form creates a nice message for the user when he put his mouse over the field: only positive integers allowed But normally this occurs, if you put the display value to infopath 2010 error the value field instead of the ID. In InfoPath you tell the lookup a display value for the dropdown and a normal value. The last one is normally for the id of the element. What is the workaround? The workaround tells you in the next minutes what to do: Step 1: Open InfoPath and open the settings of your lookup field Step 2: uncheck the checkbox that the field may not be empty Step 3: Add a rule to this field (Open Manage Rules and add one of the type validation) Step 4: Add a condition: If your lookup field is empty Step 5: Add a Quickinfo: your message - Note there must be a message Step 6: Deploy Now your form and you lookup field does not show this user unfriendly message. Maybe this helps. ..:: I LIKE SHAREPOINT ::.. The article or information provided here represents completely my own personal view & thought.
