Informix Error Messages and Error Codes From Error 32766 to 33005 March 17, 2015 SQLServerF1 Leave a comment Informix Error Code -32766 Unknown error message number. The software product cannot find the error message text files. Either the INFORMIXDIR or DBLANG environment variable is set incorrectly. Informix Error Code -33000 keyword is a reserved ANSI keyword. This message is a warning. If you want your code to be ANSI compliant, do not use the keyword that is shown as a variable name. Check the Informix Guide to SQL: Syntax for alternative syntax. Informix Error Code -33001 Environment variable variable-name has invalid value. Reset the specified environment variable to a legal value and try again. See Chapter 4 of the Informix Guide to SQL: Reference. Informix Error Code -33002 Syntax error in the ESQL INCLUDE statement. The preprocessor cannot interpret this INCLUDE statement. Refer to your embedded-language manual for the correct syntax of the INCLUDE statement. Informix Error Code -33003 Bad label format. The label on the current statement is incorrect in form. Refer to the embedded-language manual for accepted label formats. Informix Error Code -33004 Option option-name does not exist or has bad format. This embedded-language product does not support the specified option from the preprocessor/compiler command line. Check that it is spelled as you intended. Refer to the embedded-language manual for supported options. Informix Error Code -33005 Incomplete string. A character string is not correctly terminated according to the rules of the host language. For example, it might be missing an end quote, not have a continuation character, and so on. The preprocessor might not recognize the error until a number of source lines beyond the line where you intended the string to end. The INFORMIXDIR environment variable is probably not set properly. INFORMIXDIR points to the directory that contains the msg directory where message files are stored. of the other circumstance in which error 32766 can occur; INFORMIXDIR is set but doesn't point to a valid Informix installation -- either the directory simply doesn't exist or it exists but does informix error not contain any Informix products. Has anybody checked on the directory structure where the problem is showing up. There should be a directory, we'll call it /home/informix, which should contain sub-directories such as etc, informix error 32766 bin, msg (lib, ...). This should be where all the Informix products (SE and ESQL/C; I-Connect if you installed it separately) exist. Even though the products come in separate directories, they should all be installed in the same location (unless you have enough experience to know how to manage multiple directories, but then you wouldn't be running into this problem).
