Informix Error 329
a HDR pair Error; 329; connecting; database; secondary; HDR; pair Technote (troubleshooting) Problem(Abstract) This article describes a known problem which causes error 329 when trying to connect to a database from the secondary of a HDR pair. Resolving the problem PROBLEM When you try to connect to a database from the secondary of a HDR pair, you get the following error: 329: Database not found or no system permission. 111: ISAM error: no record found. CAUSE You get this error if the database was created with no logging on the primary database server. If an operation is not logged on the primary, then that operation will not be replicated on the secondary. SOLUTION You can do one of the following: Change the mode of the database on the primary 1. On the primary, change the mode of the database to logging using ontape, ondblog or onmonitor. 2. Take a level 0 archive of the primary database server . 3. Break and re-establish HDR connection. Recreate the database on the primary 1. Drop the database on the primary and recreate it with logging enabled. Either you've misspelled the database name or the server name, or the database is not set up to allow the user access to the database, or something along those lines. Much more than that, I can't help you with. You're on Windows, and I'm not. You can look at the SETNET32 settings, but the fact that you can connect via the Windows ODBC utility suggests that most of what you need should be OK. share|improve this answer answered Jun 19 '15 at 15:25 Jonathan Leffler 440k6
