wrote on 18-Jan-2011: Hello, I have a problem with a new installation of InterBase XE (instance = gds_db) on a Windows 7 operating system. After installation, the PC does not start the services ___InterBase XE Guardian gds_db___ and ___InterBase XE Server gds_db___. Both starttypes are standing on ___automatically___. A new start of the PC does not change anything. When you start the service ___InterBase XE Guardian gds_db___ manually, you get the error-Code: 1067 - Process is terminated unexpected (Sorry for my potentially insufficient translation). When you start the service ___InterBase XE Server gds_db___ manually, you get the error-Code 1053 - The service didn___t answer in time to the start-requirement. 38 ... Resolving the problem This error can be interbase guardian thrown for a number of reasons; please check the following: Check to be sure that the path to the executable is correct on the service. This usually tends to happen with the TM1 server instance so the executable that you need is the tm1sd.exe and it is usually located in the TM1 installation directory bin folder.
