tried to uninstall Adobe and got the same error. Through Windows explorer I could not open the "Reader" folder. It said it was corrupted and i could not delete the ADOBE directly manually. I was able to uninstall Adobe Reader 8.1.0 by first going in and changing the name of ADOBE directory under program files, but i still cannot delete the ADOBE directory directly. Is there a way to manually delete the ADOBE directory. Thanks Don Hahl 9555Views

Re: Internal Error 2330. 1392 (Eric_Caternolo) Jan 30, 2008 7:25 PM (in response to (Don_Hahl)) I'm having the exact same problem. I purchased a Dell lap top with Adobe Reader 8.1.1 already installed. A few weeks after my purchase I installed a 30 day trial version of Adobe Photo Shop. Interestingly enough after my 30 day trial was up I suddenly was unable to open Adobe Reader or Photo Shop. I get the exact same error messages. I contacted Adobe and the response I received was to look on the site under support. Not finding my answer I called and was instructed that they don't have support for free or trial versions of their product. However, I could pay $39.99 for phone support. Very disappointed with their service and with not standing behind a product, free or not. I had also contacted Dell to find a solution and they tried everything I had tried. Their solution was to instruct me through re-installing my entire system even though there is nothing wrong with my computer. Haven't found a solution and I did not re-install the sy

was fine. Now, all is corrupt. Trying to uninstall, repair, or install again from the CD all result in the above acrobat reader internal error error, "directory is not empty". Further, when I go to delete the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money folder, I get the error: Error 0x80070091: The directory is not empty. Just trying to open the Money folder https://forums.adobe.com/thread/392973 yields: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. I've tried turning off UAC, turning off McAfee, and running in Safe Mode, but I still can't uninstall or delete the folder. Any thoughts? At a command prompt (run as administrator), do: C:\>chkdsk c: /f /v and then reboot the machine. A chkdsk of the system drive can only run while the system is booting. Let us now how you get on. New 03 Jul 2007 #3 briantrease Guest Re: Internal Error 2330. 1392 when uninstalling/repairing MS Money Hello again, Your suggestion "sort of" worked, but dug up another problem. I was not able to run chkdsk the way you suggested. When I restarted, the chkdsk simply did not run. After some online research, it seems the autochk.exe is probably corrupt. I was able to get chkdsk to run by tapping F8 for the alternate startup modes, selecting repair computer, then running the first choice, "fix startup problems" or something like that. That ran chkdsk for about 15 minutes. Afterward, all my MS Money problems were solved. However, autochk is still corrupt. How do I

We have a customer that installed our software by deploying system images. The application was installed by a certain user on the images and that user is no longer with the end user's company. We are trying to find a way to force uninstallation of our product for the customer. Currently, they log in as an Admin (Vista or Win 7 machine I believe) then rt click the original .msi and click Run As Administrator. They choose remove, but the uninstall croaks on a .ico file that was in the users profile (that is no longer with the company) then rolls back. Do I have to run msiexec as Admin with a runas utility? I thought there was a way to force an uninstall, maybe using the System Account. ??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! 0 Comments [ + ] Show Comments Comments Please log in to comment Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,so that the conversation will remain readable. Answers 0 if you are saying this was installed per user then an admin can remove using the API. windowsinstaller.installer and msiEnumProductsEx will get you the SID of the user who did the installation as PER user. From there you can use the InstallProduct Method to remove the product using the GUID and SID of the named user found previously. HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Managed\[UserSID] HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\[UserSID] Group policy installs feature here: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group Policy\AppMgmt\[ProductCode] There may be a HKCU equivalent of the above. Once you've deleted this junk, the engine believes it to be a vanilla, per-machine install and you can uninstall it in the usual way. Another useful dodge, if you know exactly what gets installed by your product (!), is to remove the files and registry data manually then run MSIZap to clean out the installer data.
