Re: An internal error occurred jtsfoto Feb 11, 2011 4:03 AM (in response to lnayal) Hi Inayal,I've installed Reader 9.4.2 and made it my default reader device to get around the problem. It is with Acrobat X that I have the problem. The problem is with all protected PDF files. Unprotected files work fine. Unfortunately, the protected files are usually business related, invoices, quotes, etc. What do I change in Acrobat X to make it work?I will try what you suggested for Reader X.Many thanksJohn Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 3. There are two ways around this that I know of: Right Click on C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe and set the COMPATIBILITY LEVEL to something old like Windows internal error occurred XP Give up and run FoxItReader from foxitsoftware.com Officially Adobe says Server 2012 is NOT supported for Adobe Reader. As a workaround, you can turn off safe mode in Adobe Reader. But disabling safe mode in Adobe Reader is not a good idea for a multi-user environment. As an alternative, you can use Foxit Reader (it's free without the use of plug-ins). It works fine. http://blog.it-kb.ru/2014/09/03/adobe-reader-and-rds-upd-an-internal-error-occurred-and-gpo-settins-for-alternative-free-pdf-viewer-foxit-reader-enterprise/ Reply Leave a Reply Click here to cancel reply.
