updated: October 18, 2012 - 8:19 am UTC Category: Database Version: 9.2.0.5 Latest Followup You Asked Dear Tom. Last month I have alot of internal erro ora-00600 that generates dump files. I want to know how to interpret them. I need to know the sections of the dump https://asktom.oracle.com/pls/asktom/f?p=100:11:::::P11_QUESTION_ID:25272733466344 for example stack dump and processs. what was the users that were login at the that http://michalsimonik.blogspot.com/2015/07/ora-00600-internal-error-code.html time from witch machin and what is the application that was running. any thing that might help me. Regards, Khalid. and we said... you do not interpret them, development uses them to determine the cause of the internal (unexpected) error. Please contact support -- ora-600 [tkyte@tkyte-pc-isdn tkyte]$ oerr ora 600 00600, 00000, "internal error code, arguments: [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s]" // *Cause: internal error This is the generic internal error number for Oracle program // exceptions. This indicates that a process has encountered an // exceptional condition. // *Action: Report as a bug - the first argument is the internal error number [tkyte@tkyte-pc-isdn tkyte]$ the error message is very clear on this! Just publishing this so everyone can see "ora-600" -> please contact support (so does ora-3113 typically and ora-7445) Reviews Write a Review Disappointed October 10, 2004 - 11:55 am UTC Reviewer: Khalid from Yemen internal error 00000 Dear Tom. I know this i just want to know how can i get more info from those dumps. for example if you want to know what is the sql statement that raise th error. Regards, Khalid. Followup October 10, 2004 - 12:31 pm UTC sorry if you are "disappointed" but beyond the obvious information in there (stuff that needs no explanation) there is *nothing in there* really FOR US. It is a dump It is for the developers To figure out "where it all went wrong" if you contact support AND if you give them the dumps THEN your level of disappointment will most likely decrease as they will use it to query the problem database, find related events/occurrences, diagnose if you have the same issue and see if there is not already a fix in place -- or if you have discovered something "new" You cannot really "get more info" from it -- other then what you can read and "obviously make sense of" (like "the current sql for these session when we crashed was ...." and such) it is just a trace file, it is designed for support -- not for us. October 10, 2004 - 2:43 pm UTC Reviewer: Bob Watkins from Seattle, WA USA While I agree that the purpose of an ORA-600 dump is to help Oracle's developers, I have also found it useful to do a MetaLink search on the string "ORA-600 [nnnnn]" where nnnnn is the
on following error: SQL Error: ORA-00600: internal error code [kkmupsViewDestFro_4], [0], [8024169], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [] 00600. 00000 - "internal error code, arguments: [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s]" *Cause: This is the generic internal error number for Oracle program exceptions.This indicates that a process has encountered an exceptional condition. *Action: Report as a bug - the first argument is the internal error number SQL had nothing special in it: MERGE INTO TABLE1 a USING (SELECT d.* FROM TABLE2 d, TABLE3 t WHERE d.cola = t.cola AND d.colb = t.colb ) b ON (a.col1 = b.col1 AND a.col2 = b.col2) WHEN MATCHED THEN UPDATE SET …. WHERE a.SCN <= b.SCN WHEN NOT MATCHED THEN INSERT ( … ) VALUES ( … ) I searched through Oracle My Support and found article ORA-600 [kkmupsViewDestFro_4] During Merge Statement (Doc ID 1181833.1): https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?_afrLoop=534519724153934&id=1181833.1&_adf.ctrl-state=b2we448s9_695 One of the solution was to upgrade to Oracle 11.2.0.2 … Hmmmm … well, that didn't work out :) So I tried next one: alter session set "_optimizer_join_elimination_enabled"=false; Nope … and next one: alter session set "_fix_control"="7679164:OFF"; Nope … and next one … recode the MERGE statement, for example add ROWNUM pseudo column: MERGE INTO TABLE1 a USING (SELECT d.*, ROWNUM FROM TABLE2 d, TABLE3 t WHERE d.cola = t.cola AND d.colb = t.colb ) b ON (a.col1 = b.col1 AND a.col2 = b.col2) WHEN MATCHED THEN UPDATE SET …. WHERE a.SCN <= b.SCN WHEN NOT MATCHED THEN INSERT ( … ) VALUES ( … ) And voilà … it's working! I still don't understand why we got the error in 1st place … should have been fixed in 11.2.0.2 Posted by Michal Šimoník at 9:11 AM Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest Labels: 11.2.0.4, MERGE, ORA-600, Oracle Newer Post Older Post Home Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom) Google+ Badge Twitter Follow @MichalSimonik LinkedIn Don't miss a post Blog Archive ► 2016 (13) ► October (1) ► August (1) ► May (3) ► April (2) ► March (2) ► February (2) ► January (2) ▼ 2015 (22) ► December (3) ► November (2) ► October (1) ► August (2) ▼ July (3) I'm speaker at DOAG 20
