(error 3038,107) Posted: 21-Jul-2008 | 7:14AM • 11 Replies • Permalink Recently i had my norton automatically renwed. but since then the full system scan hasnt worked properly. before i had the subscription renewed the scan would last a couple of hours and scan around 500,000 files. but the first time i https://community.norton.com/en/forums/full-system-virus-scan-ends-early-error-3038107 did the scan with the updated subscription it only did around 44,000 files before the scan finished and an error occured which said: "Norton antivirus has encountered an internal program error (3038,107) while running the virus scan with a norton 2008 product". i e-mailed the norton support and the guy said to go into the options>manual scanning> then untick the "scan within compressed files". i did this and did the full system scan once again. it got to around 100,000 files this time and said 'scan complete' with no viruses found. but eventhough it says its complete and there are no errors anymore its still hasnt scanned the other 400,000 and odd files like it did before. it obviously isnt doing a full scan for some reason. please could you help me Me Too0 Last Comment Replies Stu Guru Norton Fighter25 Reg: 08-Apr-2008 Posts: 4,672 Solutions: 18 Kudos: 297 Kudos0 Re: Full system virus scan ends early.
