(not using https as of yet) We have installed Netscaler 10.1 VPX (Enterprise). Have gone through initial setup by referring to install guide using below key points:1) Test SSL cert (for now) 2) LDAP to AD (working fine, tests shows sucessful) 3) STA service URL. (showing as UP).4) Netscaler working in basic mode (as we have want to use ICA) 5) DNS record of external FQDN of VIP created on our DNS servers, currently pointing to internal accessible VIP.When we access the Netscaler Gateway (internally or externally) we do get the login page, once we put our login, the page displays "Http/1.1 Internal Server Error 29". I've imported the test cert created via Netscaler onto the StoreFront server (IIS) and bind the default website to it. But w

Office 365 System Center Windows (Client) Windows Server RES Software Workspace Manager Events About Me Configure Citrix NetScaler 10.5 including Gateway and Citrix StoreFront 2.5.2 July 6, 2014Robin HoboNetScaler86 comments Citrix released the Citrix NetScaler 10.5, in this blog I will show http://www.robinhobo.com/configure-citrix-netscaler-10-5-including-gateway-citrix-storefront-2-5-2/ you how to setup this new NetScaler, including creating and installing a SSL certificate and how to create and configure the Gateway feature. I will also show you the steps that needs to be made http://citrixtroubleshootingsteps.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html within Citrix StoreFront 2.5.2 configuration. Before starting with the installation and configuration make sure there is a license file for the NetScaler and that there are at least three IP address available for the internal server configuration. The Access Gateway function needs a SSL certificate, make sure you can create a SSL certificate by a Certificate Authority (CA) and that there is an external DNS record in place. For this blog a used NetScaler VPX for XenServer 10.5 Build 50.9 as source. The steps for downloading and uploading the NetScaler to the hypervisor are not covered in this blog, for these steps see my previous NetScaler internal server error blog (click here). Also the steps of how to install Citrix StoreFront are not covered, you can find these steps in my StoreFront blog (click here). Good news, with NetScaler 10.5 you no longer need java, which is a really big improvement! There are a lot more improvements like a SSL certificate chain check (see later in this blog) and a very improved setup wizard. Let’s get started… Configuring NetScaler 10.5 After downloading the NetScaler sources from the Citrix site and uploading it to the hypervisor it’s time to walk through the console configuration wizard. Turn on the NetScaler and open the NetScaler console on the hypervisor. Fill in the following information: - IPv4 address - Netmask - Gateway IPv4 address Choice option 4 to Save and quit. After that the NetScaler will reboot After rebooting the NetScaler, open a browser and browse to the NSIP address (management interface IP address) you entered in the previous step. Login with User Name; nsroot and Password; nsroot Citrix NetScaler 10.5 has a very improved First-time Setup Wizard making it possible to setup the NetScaler in a few clicks. Click on step 2, Subnet IP Address Good explanation about the subnet IP Address within this wizard, even an infographic is di
automatically pass through to Storefront. What I get at the moment is that when I browse to the site with a URL https://server.fqdn ( https://my.appdc.test.local) it redirects to https://server.fqdn/cgi/setclient?wica (https://my.appdc.test.local/cgi/setclient?wica ) and it never goes anywhere further than that. Resolution 2 : Checked I am able to ping storefront fqdn from Netscaler. Checked session policy Checked policy AC_WB_192.168.1.123_S_ Found that Web Interface address its "https" try to launch web site with above mention https url and got below mention error. Change URL from "https" to "http" It works fine after URL change. Resolution 2: Uncheck use HTTPS option from Enterprise tore settings. Check that the database is running and that it is not being upgraded. Make sure you have permission to access the database. Error :- Cannot communicate with database. Check that the database is running and that it is not being upgraded. Make sure you have permission to access the database. While creating Site on XenApp 7.6 getting below mention error message. Background :- Running SQL express edition Resolution: Put "SQL Server Browser" service in "Automatic" state and start it! Start creating site again, if you didn't get the option to recreate site then re-install Citrix Xenapp7.6 / XenDesktop 7.6 Note that this is generally only an issue if you're using SQL Express - with full blown SQL Server, the browser service is running by default.
