It will not allow a new install with it running. Also with newer Versions of F-Secure you may have to completely disable Deep Guard. If you have any problems with Alcohol and use Commodo Firewall such as the Internal Setup Error during the installation also after installation then make sure that you only choose Firewall in the settings not the firewall with optimal or maximum protection. It throws up the error just after the "Accept Terms" page. Any other ideas? Download DebugView from Microsoft site: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896647.aspx2. Run http://forum.alcohol-soft.com/index.php?/topic/30985-internal-setup-error/ it with administrator privileges3. In the DebugView menu please select: a) menu File -> Log to file as... -> Log file edit box -> select a file (or type a filename) which you will be able to find later b) menu Capture -> Capture Win32 c) menu Capture -> Capture Global Win32 (dont worry if this submenu item does not exist)4. Using cmd.exe, run firewall https://forums.comodo.com/install-setup-configuration-help-cis/please-read-this-before-posting-an-installation-problem-t59681.0.html installer with the following parameter: -log. This command will create log file in the your %temp% directory, called approx like this: cisinstaller_11-05-25 21.32.07.log5. After your installer shows an error message, close it, and wait for a few seconds to let all processes finish, then look for another log file: a) go to the your TEMP directory. Fastest way to do this is to write the following command in the cmd.exe: explorer %temp% (+ press enter). Alternatively you can write %temp% in the Windows explorer's address bar. b) in the TEMP directory you will find a file called approx like this: cis_10-07-19 20.23.46.log, where "10-07-19 20.23.46" is the installation date and time (of course, your actual date and time will be different)6. a) Download Autoruns utility (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx) b) In the downloaded archive you have two utilities: autoruns.exe and autorunsc.exe. You'll need the 1st one (autoruns.exe), run it in the command line as follows: autoruns.exe -v -a autoruns.arn c) wait till the utility finishes scanning of the system and closes. After it closes, next to the utility you will find autoruns.arn file. Zip it and send it to me via e-mail skalenchuk[at]comodo.c

The disc was not scratched, so fired up Alcohol 120% - I don't remember what it said exactly, but it said the driver wasn't loaded. I Googled, and some articles http://www.dobreprogramy.pl/72154,kamil_w,Recenzje.html said to update the SPTD driver - so I did, with no joy at all! So I tried to uninstall Alcohol, so I could reinstall it. I couldn't find it in Add/Remove Programs, so used Revo Uninstaller's "Hunter" to internal setup uninstall Alcohol 120%. Restarted and tried to reinstall Alcohol, only to get this message right after pressing Next at the agreement screen: "Interal setup error. Contact support." Everything my Googling comes back to, is SPTD. And it looks like I am one of many people having this very same problem. So the primary reason I am here is to find out how to fix this problem. I've lost count how many times I've rebooted, reset permissions on SPTD internal setup error registry keys. Frankly, this is beyond a joke. And there's not even a decent SPTD clean up tool, because the one I tried said SPTD was not installed! Secondly - what on earth are DuplexSecure playing at? It is clear with so many users having this very problem, that something MUST be wrong with their software. Alcohol and SPTD work fine when they are running - but when they stop, it is a complete disaster! My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate x64, with 4gb of RAM and a E8400 CPU on an Asus motherboard - all running at stock. I look forward to some answers and resolutions! thrayrr View Public Profile Send a private message to thrayrr Find More Posts by thrayrr 12-09-2011, 11:49 AM #2 Digger Title: Administrator Join Date: Feb 2006 Posts: 353 Instant Messaging: Such an internal setup error usually points to either corrupted SPTD configuration or some software (anti-virus, security, etc., or virus/trojan) messed up registry access. So first of all check system eventlog (execute eventvwr.msc) regarding SPTD error messages, post the entire error including all error bytes (see Details tab). If you use any kind of security software (e.g. Comodo), it would help to know which software you have installed. Regarding the removal and re-installation of SPTD layer it is actually quite easy, if you follow the steps precisely, especially the required reboots. 1. Open registr
