Error code: 14 I am trying to install Deamon Tools lite 4.12.3. In the very beginning of the installation I get the error "Internal setup error. Error code: 14. Contact Support". I have Windows XP and I had an earlier version of Deamon Tools that I just uninstalled before trying to install the latest version. Please advice. -- Vilhelm Reply With Quote 11.04.2008,14:39 #2 Underheaven Master Join Date 11.11.2002 Posts 2,791 ... What version of DAEMON Tools did you have installed before? I would suggest downloading the SPTD installer and deactivating any antivirus and spyware protection and try to install SPTD first, then the DAEMON Tools installer after reboot if SPTD installs without errors. the modern world: net helpmsg 4006 Reply With Quote 11.04.2008,14:43 #3 Blazkowicz GERMAN TRANSLATOR Join Date 09.11.2005 Posts 6,401 Disable also EVERY security software and then start setup again. 2010, 1:57 am MadZombie Post #1 So there I was, looking at my tray when I notice Daemon tools lite or and older version (two different versions of daemon tools) were not there. So I assumed I must've closed those programs or something. Just to double check I head over to my computer and I had 4 CD drives instead of my usual 2. These 2 extra ones were virtual drives created by Daemon tools for when I run .ISO files. I figure that their must be some sort of... problem between Daemon tools or something for them to not be running http://forum.daemon-tools.cc/f19/internal-setup-error-error-code-14-a-21219/ but their virtual drives to still exist so I tried to start up daemon tools from the short cut but I get the error - Internal setup error. Error code 14. Contact support. Wat? I go ahead and uninstall both of them with no problem and I head over to my install folder where I keep all of my installs, I get ready to reinstall Daemon tools lite and I get the same http://www.staredit.net/248113/ error again. A friend of my told me I should reboot.I rebootError pops up again.Google.Something about the registry still existing from daemon tools and that I should go ahead and delete thing in my windows folder? I felt like I should leave something like that as a back up plan with a second opinion (sen). but in general it seems that "error code 14" translate into "Reboot the computer and everything should be fine" so I did another reboot just in case and nothing. I really don't want to go messing with windows folders or using regedit because google results suggest I should.Anyone know whats up?also bonus mode: I can't open my second drive and I figure since we are on the subject of drives I'd figure I'd point it out. My top drive used to have the same problem but after 10 minutes of spamming the open button it finally opened. Doesn't seem to work for my second CD drive. (Tried the hole in front of the CD drive. Does nothing. Opened up the case to make sure everything is connected. It is.)My friend gave me an ISO file that I really want to use so in the meantime I'm looking into another program that does the same as daemon tools but I'd prefer
