them login into any Quickbooks Business service. Then try updating again. Nothing I try allows the upgrade to complete. This started when trying quickbooks error message 15311 to upload Virginia W2s and Quickbooks told me to update. I had no problems with MD and DC. All the support links try to get me to sign up for Quickbooks Payroll online and are not providing any quickbooks service profiles never updated support. This is on a Windows 10 system that is brand new. When I look at the updates it gives an error code 15311 for the Service Profiles. I have tried all the fixes mentioned here. http://payroll.intuit.com/support/kb/1000023.html?rSearchTerm=error+15311 (Some of which are not relevant to windows 10). Still it wont update. Also, release 14 is not available for download from the download site http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/productupdates.aspx. The most recent version for Quickbooks Pro 2013 on https://community.intuit.com/questions/1112280-what-is-error-15311 that site is release 12. I have also done a reinstall of Quickbooks with no luck. So I am left frustrated with no way to fix this.My first question is, is it going to create a problem to work on the company file which has been upgraded to be used on release 14 within this release 12 version of the software?Is there anything I can do to fix this or is there somewhere I can download release 14?I have https://community.intuit.com/questions/1280905-error-15311-cant-update another computer that uses Windows 10 that is updated to release 14 that accesses the same company file, so it appears that Windows 10 is not the problem. Attached is an image of the product info for my system that has been upgraded to Release 14 and Sleeter announced Release 14 here. http://www.sleeter.com/blog/2015/12/quickbooks-2013-r14-released/I am thinking Release 14 is somehow related to my Quickbooks Payroll but am not sure. I am able to download the latest Payroll Updates when I use "Get Payroll Updates". Also, on the system that has the 15311 error in the Service Profiles, Service Profiles and Critical Updates says never updated. However, on my system that is updated to Release 14 and does not have the 15311 error, it also says Service Profiles and Critical Updates have never been updated. So I am not sure if resolving the 15311 error would fix anything as it appears nothing is updated in those sections even when the error does not exist. I am starting to think Quickbooks rolled out Release 14 and then pulled it back for some reason. It is all very frustrating.
