Thread Status: Not open for further replies. Slymeister New Member Since eclipse java.net.socketexception invalid argument create march 1st, I have been receiving the Invalid argument: connect: java.net.SocketException: Invalid argument: connect error every time I try and run feed the beast. I've completely removed Minecraft java net socketexception an invalid argument was supplied and FTB from my system and reinstalled. I have tried running with Java 7 64bit and 32bit, as well as Java 6 64bit and 32bit. All giving the same results. I've tried adding the "-Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true" cmd line, with it doing nothing. I've made sure my AV and firewall arent interfering both by going in and allowing each Java and ftblaucher to always be allowed permission. I have even tried both the .exe and .jar launcher a couple dozen times over the past 3 days. Vanilla minecraft works perfectly fine when started through the .exe, but wont even load when I attempt through the browser. And whenever I try to paste my client log onto pastebin, I just get an error saying Invalid argument: connect. I originally encountered problems running mvn against a few projects that I had moved from an XP invalid argument machine and decided to troubleshoot using the following basic command from Maven By Example that is used to create a simple project: mvn archetype:generate -DgroupId=org.sonatype.mavenbook.simple -DartifactId=simple -Dpackage=org.sonatype -Dversion=1.0-SNAPSHOT I've tried this with both the 32 & 64 bit versions of JDK 7u5. I tried Maven versions 2.2.1, 3.0.3 and 3.0.4 (output below is from 3.0.4). java.net.socketexception invalid argument I've also tried it with Windows Firewall completely disabled and AV completely removed. I'm connected via Verizon FIOS with the default router setup. Maven works fine on the other XP machine on the same network. Any help is greatly appreciated.
