Postfix Auxpropfunc Error Invalid Parameter Supplied
cannot authenticate to server with login as mario That's a Cyrus IMAP specific issue. With default configuration, it does not allow transmission of a clear text password. You can enable the 'allowplaintext' imapd.conf option to change that behavior, or use a connection which provides some level _sasl_plugin_load failed on sasl_auxprop_plug_init for plugin: ldapdb of encryption. >auth.log: >-------------------------------------------------------------------- >imap[21753]: auxpropfunc error invalid parameter supplied >imap[21753]: _sasl_plugin_load failed on sasl_auxprop_plug_init for >plugin: ldapdb > > >cat /etc/imapd.conf >------------------------- >configdirectory: /var/imap >partition-default: /var/spool/imap >admins: cyrus mario >sasl_mech_list: PLAIN >sasl_pwcheck_method: saslauthd > > >Has anyone an idea why it wants ldapdb here? Why does the authentification fail? The errors your seeing are spurious, since you're using saslauthd to authenticate. It's an error indicating that you're missing a required config option in /etc/imapd.conf - the sasl_ldapdb_uri option. You can get rid of the error in imapd.conf with: sasl_auxprop_plugin: sasldb Or by removing the ldapdb shared library. -- Dan White Previous message: auxpropfunc error invalid parameter supplied Next message: auxpropfunc error invalid parameter supplied Messages sorted by: [ date ] [ thread ] [ subject ] [ author ] More information about the Cyrus-sasl mailing list

When I start the openldap server i get the following error in auth.log: Aug 16 14:52:38 mail slapd[7437]: auxpropfunc error invalid https://lists.andrew.cmu.edu/pipermail/cyrus-sasl/2010-March/001963.html parameter supplied Aug 16 14:52:38 mail slapd[7437]: _sasl_plugin_load failed on sasl_auxprop_plug_init for plugin: ldapdb and this error in the syslog: Aug 16 15:11:50 mail slapd[12214]: auxpropfunc error invalid parameter supplied my slapd.conf file is: # # See slapd.conf(5) for details on configuration options. http://www.openldap.org/lists/openldap-software/200508/msg00299.html # This file should NOT be world readable. # include /usr/local/etc/openldap/schema/core.schema include /usr/local/etc/openldap/schema/cosine.schema include /usr/local/etc/openldap/schema/inetorgperson.schema include /usr/local/etc/openldap/schema/nis.schema include /usr/local/etc/openldap/schema/qmail.schema # Define global ACLs to disable default read access. # Do not enable referrals until AFTER you have a working directory # service AND an understanding of referrals. #referral ldap://root.openldap.org pidfile /usr/local/var/run/slapd.pid argsfile /usr/local/var/run/slapd.args # Load dynamic backend modules: modulepath /usr/local/libexec/openldap moduleload back_bdb.la moduleload back_ldap.la moduleload back_ldbm.la moduleload back_passwd.la moduleload back_shell.la # Sample security restrictions # Require integrity protection (prevent hijacking) # Require 112-bit (3DES or better) encryption for updates # Require 63-bit encryption for simple bind # security ssf=1 update_ssf=112 simple_bind=64 # Sample access control policy: # Root DSE: allow anyone to read it # Subschema (sub)entry DSE: allow anyone to read it # Other DSEs: # Allo

I used the following documentation: http://blogs.mafia-server.net/nur-bahnhof/2013/12/prosody-authentification-ldapactivedirectory/ http://prosody.im/doc/cyrus_sasl auxpropfunc error invalid https://wiki.debian.org/InstallingProsody My problem is that I can't get connected. The XMPP client always gets stuck somewhere while exchanging authentication information. Test using testsaslauthd was successful: testsaslauthd -u theuser -p "$pw" 0: OK "Success." I assume this means that the /etc/saslauthd.conf file is correct in this case.
