Any suggestions?Asked by: Chandler from Hawaii Hello Chandler! iTunes error 1002 is known issue while restoring restore iphone 3gs a jailbroken iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. In most cases, this error could be fixed once the device got restored successfully through iTunes.
Anyway, have you flashed iPad baseband 06.15.00 on your device? If yes, then you should restore a custom firmware which was created using the latest version of Redsn0w. You can get Redsn0w 0.9.9b7 from here. Unlike the previous version of Redsn0w jailbreak tool, creating custom firmware using the 0.9.9 version of Redsn0w is fairly easy. All you have to do is connect your iPhone to your computer (You have to use a Mac as the ability to create custom IPSW file is not available on Windows at the moment), launch Redsn0w, select Extras, and then select Custom IPSW (You can download the stock iOS 5 firmware using this link) and just restore it to your device by putting the iPhone in Pwned DFU mode. Then follow this guide to download and install Ultrasn0w 1.2.4 to unlock your iPhone on iOS 5.On the other hand, if you don’t care about unlocking, then just simply do a clean restore (Do not restore your backup) to fix this issue.
