I launched the restoration and went through all the process (initializing, instalation, verification) but I always got the same message error number 6.I checked the help page. Therefore I tryed the following solution but no result:- change USB port (I have no other USB device connected),- reload iTunes (I have the lastest version),- disabled iantivirus,- try to restore the iPod with no internet conection (totally impossible). What should I do ?note: during the restoration process, the iPod screen showed a lot of flash and colored lines. I am trying to update it to firmware version 2.0, 2.1 or 2.2. Either one will work for me. I have tried many different things. People tell me to just plug in my iPod, open iTunes, hold down the 'Shift' key and click restore. Then I am supposed to select the firmware update I want to update it to. But when I click on one of the firmware versions (i.e. Firmware Version 2.1) it comes up with an error saying: An unknown error has occurred (1403). Does anyone know why it keeps saying this error? PLEASE HELP ME!!! I have tried downloading like a million different versions of iTunes (including iTunes 6, 7, 7.1, 7.7, and 8.) But that didn't do a thing. I am still getting the same error. I put my iPod into DFU mode and tried it again, same error message popped up. I have tried restarting my iPod and computer countless times, nothing fixes it... iTunes lets me restore my iPod to version 1.1.5 but not 2.0, 2.1, or 2.2. I don't know why I am constantly getting this error, does anybody know how to fix it? I have looked up answers on google but nothing has fixed the error. WHAT DO I DO!!??:cursing: PLEASE HELP ME! I LOVE YOU! pimpnatg00dwill, Jan 16, 2009 pimpnatg00dwill, Jan 16, 2009 #1 AtomicBump Premium Premium Messages: 3,396 Ratings: 171 Jan 16, 2009 #2 Did the screen flash twice and then go dark? When I say flash I mean black, but with the backlight on. Dark means black with no backlight. If it did then you did it right and I have no clue how to help you. If it didn't hold it down and wait for 2 flashes then dark. Do you mean did it flash black when I put it into DFU mode or what? When is supposed to flash black or whatever? The thing is, when I open iTunes and plug in my iPod Touch, I hold shift and click restore and I try to restore it from firmware version 1.1.5 to firmware version 2.1 and when I try to do that an error pops up saying: An unknown error has occurred (1403). pimpnatg00dwill, Jan 16, 2009 pimpnatg00dwill, Jan 16, 2009 #3 Forgoten Dynasty Free Sosa #bangbang Messages: 5,866 Ratings: 2,459 Jan 16, 2009 #4 I would try a different 2.0 firmware file that one might be corrupt Forgoten Dynasty, Jan 16, 2009 Forgoten Dynasty, Jan 16, 2009 #4 pimpnatg00dwill Enthusiast Messages: 5 Ratings: 0 Jan 16, 2009 #5 Do you
