I'm in nursing school and really need to have access to this web site. The error message is "The requested action could not be performed. Javascript is not enabled on this hanheld." There is a difference between "Java", "JavaScript" and "Java Applet". Fortunately, "JavaScript" IS supported. Unfortunately, "Java Applet" is not supported. Go to Browser->Options->Browser Configuration->Scroll down->Enable "Support JavaScript"->Save Options http://www.blackberryforums.com/rim-software/26163-how-enable-javascript-blackberry-internet-browser.html This will enable JavaScript in your BlackBerry Internet Browser. Also, make sure you have at least BlackBerryOS Version 4.0 or later (not 3.7 or older). You can see the version in Options->About. __________________ Thanks, Mark Rejhon Author of XMPP extension XEP-0301: www.xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0301.html - specification www.realjabber.org - open source Offline 02-13-2006, 08:23 AM #2 (permalink) roofus BlackBerry Extraordinaire Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: West of Ottawa, Canada Model: PassP OS: 10 Carrier: Bell Posts: 1,069 Post Thanks: 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts pop ups? Everything works on IOS and Droids(well not exactly everything, but it is usable) javascript error Basically, my problem is this: I can't click on any link or button. Actually there is only one link that works and it is a plain html link that leads to another page. The others im trying are buttons and links that have javascript in them to show a different partial/page One of the results I have found is that a bb's js might be turned off. TO check, i added an alert on page load ang voila! it works..but only the alert. clicking the blacberry javascript error buttons many times wont even take me nywehere. it just ignores my clicks How do i debug this? Is there any clue as to what my problem actually is(so i can google)? I am using the jquery mobile framework and have tested the demo using the BB so im pretty sure it was not their fault, but rather mine blackberry jquery-mobile share|improve this question asked Jul 27 '11 at 17:09 corroded 12.4k1562125 is the BB device supported? jquerymobile.com/gbs –Phill Pafford Jul 27 '11 at 18:08 hmm it says it is C-grade(i am using a curve) BUT, C-grade denotes, no JS. I have actually tested and seen my JS alerts when loading the page and clicking the button so Im pretty sure js works...although ajax might be another matter –corroded Jul 27 '11 at 19:41 If you can, try to test on another device or emulator. You can also do a test to see if the device is supported. If it's not you could throw an alert to the end user or something saying this device is not supported: jquerymobile.com/demos/1.0b1/#/demos/1.0b1/docs/api/… –Phill Pafford Jul 27 '11 at 19:44 ive actually tried going to the jquery mobile page using the blackberry and it works. so i kinda had the impression that it was 'supported' and thus the problem was with how it was coded. (unless jquery mobile was coded without ajax in mind) –corroded Jul 27 '11 at 19:52 okay i just tested us
