Adobe Dreamweaver
October 2016 Issue Solution Issue I am having a problem after loading plugins to play animations in web pages. I wanted to listen music sample on the Internet and they asked me to download plugins from the RealPlayer website. Then for some reason I do not know. I am using Mozilla Firefox. So, when I am running Dreamweaver https://forums.adobe.com/thread/18935 8, I am getting this: "In line 56 of file C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver8\Configuration\Shared\Common\Scripts\dwscriptsExtData.js ReferenceError: dwscripts is not defined." Then when I open a file I get the following message: "The following translators were not loaded due to errors: Asp.htm has configuration information invalid JSP.htm has configuration information invalid PHP_MySQL.htm has configuration information invalid XLST.htm has invalid configuration information " Then I can no longer use the "Save As" to save a file (nothing http://ccm.net/faq/6849-dreamweaver-dwscripts-is-not-defined happens) When I modify a file (the comande does not work either) and I want to try it in a browser using the F12 key, the program proposes to make a backup first. But when the next backup information is displayed: "A JavaScript error occurred during the execution of one load in tempURL_afterSave.htm" And it asks me to click OK. This operation is repeated several times but the file is still saved. I tried at first to return to a previous configuration of Windows XP but the problem persisted. Then I'm on my second uninstall then reinstall Dreamweaver but the problem is still there. What also surprised at these facilities is that they never ask me the serial number either. That, for the moment I'm stuck for updating and maintaining my website. Solution In conclusion: Close DW Delete the config file: Dreamweaver 8 on Windows XP: C: \ Documents and Settings \ [username] \ Application Data \ Macromedia \ Dreamweaver 8 \ Configuration and if necessary apply Workstation> Options> View> Show hidden files and folder to display the folder. Restart DW If this does not uninstall ? DW, delete the folder, reinstall and restart DW. I think it should be better, if not, plunges you into the other solutions on adobe ... http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_19105&sliceId=2 Related : Dre
Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration\Shared\Common\Scripts\dwscriptsExtData.js": ReferenceError: dwscripts is not defined Follw the following step. Vista no longer has "Documents and Settings" but uses the folder "Users" instead. https://kuntalpatel.wordpress.com/macromedia-dreamweaver-error/ There isn't a "Application Data" folder either. Now it is called AppData. You would think replacing those would due the trick but we're not done yet.Inside of AppData there are three folders, at least in my configuration: Local, LocalLow, and Roaming. I looked in Local intially because I don't have much knowledge about the Roaming folder and didn't javascript error think it had anything to do with where the Macromedia folder was located. Turns out…the Roaming folder is where you need to go. From here it is normal procedure. Go into Macromedia/Dreamweaver 8/Configuration and delete the "WinFileCache*.dat" file and restart DW. All should be fine…was for me.Here is the full directory structure, on my PC:bc. \\live\C\Users\kppatel\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Dreamweaver8\Configuration
