This is a clean install of the simulator with no 3rd party applications installed to it. I strictly wanted to use it for testing web applications. All other applications on the device seem to work without error. blackberry jvm blackberry-simulator jvm-crash blackberry-torch share|improve this question edited Jan 2 '13 at 9:20 user1542476 asked Sep 3 '10 at 21:21 Allen Hartwig 1612 add a comment| http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3639649/blackberry-9800-simulator-crashing-when-launching-browser 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 8 down vote I managed to get it working. I keep receiving the message App Error 104 nearly every minute or so, once I press continue I then have to reset the time and date on the handset. I did an update of my app world about a week ago so I can only put it down to that. I'm a bit of a jvm error techniphobe so don't really have a clue in this department... Does anyone have any ideas? I believe this is a great thing and it is really appreciated as there are hardly any other solutions like that for Java ME. I was really excited to get the 1.8 version working with OAuth, because I was thinking I would be finally able to use it in my Blackberry App (designed for Torch 9800). So I downloaded the latest library as well as the OAuth Sample RIM application. I've entered my application's customer key, secret and callback url. I tried to run it on the simulator, but I'm getting: JVM Error 104 Uncaught: Runtime Exception before I even see the Twitter login screen. Am I doing something wrong here? I also tried to run it on a real device (I made the OAuth sample application part of my real, signed by RIM app, so it can be started on a Torch), but I'm probably getting the same error as the only result is a blank screen - no login page at all. What's more weird - if I try to run it again and again I'm also getting uncaught ControlledAccessException. I'd appreciate any suggestions and help. Thanks, Marcin Ernandes Mourao Jr Posted: O
