HelloThe problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Kodak digital is.. well known for not being the best around. Sure it aint GE or Vivitar but it never was really high quality either. And yes it isn't worth fixing this. Just throw it away and buy a camera that works and is from a brand that is good. Lets say a Canon A series ? The A series is relative simple but good build and it offers the basic functionality you seek. Even some extra's! So that is my suggestion don't put any more time into trying to use necromancy on dead things and instead actually buy a Canon A series! If it is dirt, you may be able to dislodge it or suck it out, if the lens is bent, you MAY be able to bend it back into place. I would first start with brand new batteries (just in case), then try to fix the lens. It wouldn't be economical to pay for repairs, so you may as well try it yourself. selina_555 &mi

According to some websites, "lens http://www.josepino.com/howto/lens_error_kodak error" on Kodak Digital cameras is a common problem, the solution? pretty simple. (So simple that, actually, you will be surprised). Let's find what's wrong with those cameras, specially the EasyShare models. (5/10/2007) I purchased a Kodak camera model Easyshare C330, but there was a problem on the lens. When I turned the camera on, the screen shows the error kodak easyshare 15 and 25. It says something about "Lens error" and "Lens stepper motor error". I was looking for some information on internet about how to fix this problem and I found this is a common failure on Easyshare kodak cameras. So far, this problem affects models DX 4530, V550, C310, C330, C643 C743, LS443 and who knows how many models. kodak easyshare cd82 The solution posted on internet is so simple: Hit it. bang the camera and the lens will work again. Even a woman said she was so upset, she throwed the camera against the wall and miracle!, it was working again. So, How is possible that "banging" the camera will fix it? Doesn't make sense. My camera have no serial number as it was erased because the use (Kodak, next time, engrave serial numbers), so I was not able to determine if it still under warranty. Kodak charges more than $100.00 to fix it plus shipping and handling... a new camera is less than $100.00 I decided to find the reason who those camera fails, even the Nikon cameras (coolpix models) have the same problem, specially the L3 and L4. As I have experience on electronics and destroying some items, I decided to find the source of the failure by myself. First, I removed 6 screws from the camera. *** Warning *** Do not try this. Hi-voltages are present on all digital cameras.
