Easy Share Discussion in 'Software' started by DMTISME, Feb 16, 2015. DMTISME Private E-2 Hi everyone, I recently had Windows 7 Pro installed on my desktop and the guy who worked on my machine had to wipe all the programs. One of those was Kodak Easy Share (version 5.1). The CD I had didn't seem to install the software but, I think I found an upgrade replacement Kodak EasyShare Software 8.3.0 on this site but had problems installing it. the link is: http://www.majorgeeks.com/mg/getmirror/kodak_easyshare_software,2.html I have all the photos that were originally used with the software in a folder on an external HD (for safe keeping) and I am looking for anyone who may have tried to install the same software. Secondly, I am looking for someone with some experience in how to reinstall where the new software will reformat the picture into the album format as before? You could try copying the installer files off your Kodak original CD, to your desktop and then as you are running Windows 7 now, right click the software installer and choose Properties then the Compatibility tab and choose Windows XP SP3 compatibility and tick the Run as Administrator box near the bottom, then run the installer and see if that works, but older software sadly like Kodak Easy Share may not work in newer Windows versions. You may need to reassess what software you manage your pictures with, some suggestions are Picasa, XNView, Microsoft Win 7 Photo Gallery or a selection you can choose from HERE Most if not all should allow you to direct the organisation side of the software to scan and list your pics saved to external HDD, but if you go the route of new photo sof
