I had no problems with them at all during the first couple of weeks after buying them - I have not used them too much. Last week I was on holiday and started taking a lot of pictures every day. On the second day I got a "System error" message and could not display ca. 60 of the pictures I took on that day. Two other days I could not display 1 / 15 pictures respectively, as the camera said it was "Unable to display" the pictures. When connecting to the PC, these pictures cannot be seen on the card at all, they do not appear as files. For example, I have PICT1081.jpg and PICT1099.jpg, but the 18 files between them are missing. However, they occupy a couple of megabytes, so after deletion of all files, Windows says that there is not a single file on the card, but only 985 megabytes are free from the total of 999.When using a file recovery tool, I manage to save most of the lost images, but I do not want to use this tool from time to time, it is not "normal". Have you ever experienced this problem with this camera? Thanks and regards, Csaba Reply to thread Reply with quote Complain Remsan • Regular Member • Posts: 112 Re: Z5 - "System error" and "Unable to display" messages In reply to gcs75 • Apr 9, 2005 Hi!In the begining I had some problems with my card. What are the errors that you get? Ask Your Own Camera and Video Question Customer: replied5 years ago. I do not receive any errors when the card is out. I receive the http://www.justanswer.com/video-camera-repair/5hied-konica-minolta-dimage-z6-when-trying-access-sd-card-via.html normal notification that there is no card present.Update 8-31-2011: I no longer need assistance. The problem was a corrupt DCIM folder on the sd card. Once the folder was deleted and the card re-inserted in the camera a new DCIM folder was created and the access and system error problem went away. I have taken multiple pictures and accessed the files via playback and quickview with no errors occuring. Thanks. only problem I have is this: When I connect it up to my computer, the screen reads, "Initialising USB Connection" for a second or two, before bleeping and saying, "System Error". I've followed the instructions and have installed the viewer on my computer. Is this a problem that can be fixed, or should I exchange the camera for another? I'd be VERY grateful if anyone can help me. I am running Win XP Home but had the same problem on a PC running XP Professional. I returned my first camera at Minolta's suggestion because they said it was a fault with the camera, but the replacement does exactly the same thing. Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution or shall I just invest in a card reader as I am happy with the camera in every other respect?Respond to this messageAnonymous (Login amacman)try hereSeptember 8 2005,2:11 PMhey m8 try to take a look around this place: http://www.fixya.com/Product.aspx?prdid=156448 u might find what you are lookin for macman Respond to this message<< Previous Topic | Next Topic >>Return to IndexFind more forums on Network54Create your own forum at Network54Copyright © 1999-2016 Network54.
