Error C-5300 can be caused by a faulty drum unit but sometimes can be the result of poor contact in one of the door switches. Check both the front door and left door switches, making sure sure that both actuate fully when the door is closed. The actuator flag on these switches can become bent and cause poor contact. Carefully bend this flag out to ensure proper actuation. This has to do with the cleaning lamp. I replaced the drum unit which houses the cleaning lamp from what I can tell. The next step is to replace the engine PWB. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this problem. I don't want to replace the engine PWB if I don't have to. Thanks.Posts: 91|Registered: February 20, 2006 IP blackcat4866Imaging god posted July http://www.fixya.com/support/t708917-km_3050_kx_error_code_c5300 26, 2008 12:53 PMHide PostFirst, I would pin out the modular connector to the engine board, and reseat all connectors. It will take less than an hour of your time, and costs you nothing in parts. =^..^=This message has been edited. Replaced drum unit, ps pcb and engine pcb. Finally started tracing voltages and found missing 24vdc to engine pcb. Wound up being the safety switch on the left hand door, the one with the linkage. Adjust the switch and problem solved. Flipping safety switches!!! Posts: 279|Location: So.
