Topic Archived BoardsL.A. NoireInterrogation: simple trial and error?User Info: jlourencojlourenco 5 years ago#1 Started playing this game yesterday and I like it, altough is has some issues. Anyway, the most interesting thing about LA Noire is the way the cases develop, according to the dialogue options. The stories don't get radically different, but it's cool to see how they play. Anyway, did anybody else got a feeling that the interrogations is too much trial and error? I got the best rank possible in some cases, but sometimes your suspect's reactions doesn't seem suspicious at all. I like it and dislike it. Lemme explain...I dislike it because sometimes, no matter how good you are, you will miss something. So, the game doesn't reward you for being good, but sometimes just for being lucky. I like it because it makes things closer to real life. Some criminal are very good at what they do and people lie very well. I'm a journalist and I've interviewed some bad guys during my life... they do seem like the most honest people ever sometimes.Playing - PES2011 / Arkham AsylumBest games ever: Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, Final Fantasy VI, Metal Gear Solid and Shadow of the ColossusUser Info: orangeneeorangenee 5 years ago#2Some are very good at looking like they're lying even when they tell the truth. It's truthfully said though that the eyes are the windows to the soul, which is where I look first. I've had a few 'wait, WTF!?' moments the game however.Official Official of the Off

They always look away and stutter, but they always seem to be telling the truth. It's like, ruining the game for me. If you have evidence to prove a lie, it is one. For anything else it's doubting. Hope that helps. I've found there are less truthful situations in the game as opposed to the other 2 selections. I've recently completed the story. Hope this helps! As the other poster said, definitely use intuition points. And don't look at yourself not being able to read the witnesses and getting the right

Noire is definitely not a bad game, I do have several concerns, and I am wondering if others agree or disagree. They boil down to these:1) First of all, Rockstar PATCHED RDR to let you swap L1R1 with L2R2 for better gunplay, and then left that la noire out of this game... are they being purposefully stupid, or do they just want an excuse to release a later patch?2) Interrogations are FRUSTRATING! While finding evidence and thinking like a cop is fun, I find the whole "watch and use intuition" mechanic entirely unsatisfying, and incredibly unforgiving. Walking away knowing that you are now lacking vital evidence doesn't make the game more immersive for me, or more fun/challenging, it's a la noire trial driving insentive for me to turn it off and go trade it in. Seriously, how the **** can you guys tell when people are lying or telling the truth, because I seriously can't tell the difference, and if you fail it's basically like a game over, except you don't get to try again (hurray Heavy Rain syndome).3) Rockstar needs to hire out to a racing game company to craft the driving controls, because god knows they can't do it. GTAIV Driving sucked beyond reason, Read Dead Redemption Horseback riding was possibly the most fun travel mechanic of any game ever, and now we are back to crappy driving. They need to figure out a way to make traversal segments more fun (probably by improving mechanics/controls)! I am NOT looking forward to car chases with these controls.Seriously, what do you guys think? If someone could give me a tip or trick to tell how people are lying in this game, it would honestly make it a lot better, because that crap is WAYYYY too unforgiving. I have a quick newsflash for Rockstar. I can't do this crap in real life. Infinity Ward didn't make me go through a test to ensure I could really take a good 10 bullets bef
