Reason is the middle green light is the data received light and always lights as the printer is receiving data or will stay on solid if data is in the buffer and something is preventing it from printing. turn the power on and hold the button down until all three lights come on solid. Release the button and the printer should then start cycling the lights until it comes to ready. At this point I would try the test page again and this time make sure the cable from the computer is NOT connected. If you get the same reaction, then the formatter is toast and needs to be replaced. The feeding 1/4 inch at a time seems to be a cleaning sheet of som e kind. I get this sheet by holding the go button for 15 seconds and then releasing. Once I did the reset on the third 2200 and tried to print a test page using the go button I get a medium pitch humming noise, that I would describe as rubber moving against something that is not moving. All three lights come on solid at this point when I hold job cancel and go the go light turns off and the attention and ready lights stay on solid.I did some searching around and was not able to find this light pattern on this site or on HP. If you could point me in the right direction on this issue I would appreciate it.

What happened was - there was a problem with the fuser (gears grinding badly - printer jammed) - I ordered a Maint. Kit and installed it. When we started it back up, it power cycles and gears turn, but it always goes to the steady flashing amber light. I've already tried doing the Cold Reset and NVRAM reset, but that didn't solve it. I took everything in the Maint. Kit back out again and looked at everything, but didn't see anything out of hp laserjet 2200 place. If anyone could give me some help, that would be great! Reply With Quote 12-13-2006,12:51 PM #2 Strider View Profile View Forum Posts View Blog Entries View Articles Member Join Date Feb 2006 Location Akron Ohio Posts 99 First,press go to try to recover from the error.If this doesn't work,then press go and job cancel at the same time.This will bring up the secondary error code.Post back on which lights are on or flashing.By the way,your error is a continuable error and not a fatal error.It could be anything from an open door to a missing cartridge to a stuck switch actuator. The most common is the sensor flags in the trays. You probably replaced the roller in the tray and did not reconnect it properly to the sensor. Take a look at the roller and right next to it you see a plastic piece that hangs down. That piece should be able
