Ldap Error 0x22 34

Now Hi Guys, I have been testing a subsite in our Domain metadata cleanup (all 2008R2) which had one DC. The DC recently had
Adsiedit
a hardware failure and is completely dead. At this point I would like to forcefully remove the DC and the subsite. I've tried the metadata cleanup method but receive the following error: metadata cleanup: remove selected server XXXX Binding to localhost ... Connected to localhost using credentials of locally logged on user. LDAP error 0x22(34 (Invalid DN Syntax). Ldap extended error message is 0000208F: NameErr: DSID-031001F7, problem 2006 (B AD_NAME), data 8350, best match of: 'CN=Ntds Settings,XXXX' Win32 error returned is 0x208f(The object name has bad syntax.) Any advice on going about a complete removal? Thanks, Erik Reply Subscribe View Best Answer RELATED TOPICS: Unable to remove DC from AD, when DC no longer exists...
