Fenton - doing a REPAIR seems to fix it . . . if you move your answer i will accept it –leora Sep 10 '11 at 17:37 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote accepted +150 The usual first step in troubleshooting a problem like this (i.e., the functionality of an Office program is not working) is to run the REPAIR function on Office from the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS tool in Control Panel. share|improve this answer answered Sep 13 '11 at 0:25 David W. Fenton 95446 add a comment| up vote 1 down vote It appears that the solution was running a 'repair' solved the problem: Control Panel Uninstall a Program Select your office suite Select "Change": XP WIN7 Run through the setup process BUT SELECT REPAIR instead. For Office 2007 it looks like this: For Office 2010 it looks like this: If this doesn't work, then you can also try uninstalling and re-installing the program. share|improve this answer answered Sep 12 '11 at 18:17 KronoS 17.9k3390145 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote Try

When I try to run the database that I created on my desktop, the Gateway mentioned below. I got error saying "Run time error 48 error in loading DLL". I'm also having problems with the wizards working and error messages referring to DLL not being loaded. This all started when I tried to run an Access database that I created for a customer on my old Gateway Win 7 Pro, 32 bit machine, with Office 2003 Pro which is over five years old, on the above ASUS. I have tried numberous things to correct the problem on the ASUS including: Uninstalling and reinstalling many times, I have registered all the files that everyone says I should from google search. I have downloaded Office SP 3 and the Hot Fix that was suppose to fix its bugs. I have both; shut down virus programs, installed Office and then removed virus program and installed Office. I have tried shutting down anything running in the background that might cause problems. All with no luck. I have borrowed another copy of Office from a shop, thinking my copy was corrupt. No luck sam
