Can you please tell me the full error message, and the version of MS Office you are using? I look forward to your reply. Thank you, Ask Your Own Computer Question Customer: replied6 years ago. I am using error in loading Microsoft Office 2007. I can't seem to locate if it is Pro or Home, but I assume it is Pro. When I am in Access 2007 in need to import an excel sheet. I click the external data tab, click Excel in the import colum, than locate the file, hit ok, and a dialog box labled Import Spreadsheet Wizard pops up with the message "error in loading DLL" and no more information. Expert: Techie_Ben replied6 years ago. Thanks for the reply. This sounds like an MDAC issue. MDAC is "Microsoft Data Access Components", which is part of the Windows operating system. This Windows component is responsible for various database drivers, and other communication modules of the OS. If the MDAC installation is corrupt, you will receive errors about missing/invalid DLL's, or in this case, just a general error loading a DLL.Let's try the easy way first, and see if we can get away with manually registering two DLL's, and then we can re-install MDAC if necessary (which would fix this for sure). Go to Start -> Run -> and type cmdThis opens the Windows command prompt.Enter the following commands, one by one, pressing enter after each line:Regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\Dao360.dll"Regsvr32.exe "C:\Progra
report wizard, I get the error message "Error in Loading DLL." The message comes up twice and then then wizard window opens. This happens with new or existing databases. I read in an earlier message to run - regsvr32.exe "c:\program files\Microsoft office\office11\ACCWIZ.DLL", which I did and it was ok. Win XP Pro Thanks, -- HHH Guest, Sep 22, 2007 #1 Advertisements Guest Guest In earlier versions of Access, this error can also indicate an improperly registered DAO file. I'm honestly not sure about Access 2007, since it can use two flavors of the JET database engine: regular .mdb and the new privatized version found in .accdb. Anyways, you might try reregistering your DAO library: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=833220 Tom Wickerath Microsoft Access MVP https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/Tom http://www.access.qbuilt.com/html/expert_contributors.html __________________________________________ "HHH" wrote: > Hi, > > When I try to use either the query or report wizard, I get the error message > "Error in Loading DLL." Thanks for your help. -- HHH "HHH" wrote: > Hi, > > When I try to use either the query or report wizard, I get the error message > "Error in Loading DLL."
