I got the following error: At least one committed transaction log file is missing. Mounting the database will result in data loss. Do not take this action unless you cannot locate the missing log files. Are you sure https://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/2943-find-and-replay-missing-log-files-in-exchange you want to continue? Yes/No Here's what I did to get them working... Steps (6 https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21170544/E00-log-was-missing-and-Mail-store-can't-be-mount.html total) 1 I Ran the following command to check the state of the databases: I opened a command prompt and ran the following command: >C:\\\\Program Files\\\\Microsoft\\\\Exchange Server\\\\Bin>eseutil /mh "D:\\\\Path-to-Database\\\\Database.edb" From the output that follows the above command there was a line that said State: Dirty Shutdown followed by a line that said: Log Required: 121837-121846 (0x1dbed-0x1dbf6) This showed me the log files log file I was missing. I was to look for files ending in "bed" through "bf6" 2 I found the missing log files and copy them to a new folder Next I went to my log folder for the database and found the log files ending in E0A00000bed through E0A00000bf6". I selected these log files and copied them. I then created a folder called "copied-logs" in the current log folder and pasted the missing logs into that folder. I then log file missing selected and copied the current log file entitled E0A.log and pasted it into the folder as well. 3 I Checked the missing logs to see if they were damaged or mismatched From a command prompt I ran the following command: >C:\\\\Program Files\\\\Microsoft\\\\Exchange Server\\\\Bin>eseutil /ml "E:\\\\Log-file-Path\\\\copied-logs\\\\E0A" The output showed that the logs were in order and not damaged 4 I Replayed the logs using the following command: Now that I had found the missing files and they were know to be intact and healthy I ran the following command: >C:\\\\Program Files\\\\Microsoft\\\\Exchange Server\\\\Bin>eseutil /r e0a /l "E:\\\\Log-file-Path\\\\copied-logs\\\\" /d "D:\\\\Path-to-Database" /a 5 I Cleaned out old Logs After the logs were replayed I cut everything out of the log folder and pasted them into the "copied-logs" folder I created in step 2. Aside from the copied-logs folder I created, the Log folder was empty. 6 I Mounted Database and Deleted "Copied-Logs" folder Next I mounted the Database and then I deleted the copied-logs folder I created in step two to save space on my logs drive References Eseutil.exe Examples 4 Comments Poblano Jimmy882 Aug 3, 2013 at 02:28am I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to write this up. This helped me this evening. Out of the blue, one of my exchange databases quit working. Exchange said I was missing some logs, so I checked my log folder and they were al
