Error description Notes is set up as your default lotus notes error log mail client, and with Notes closed, you attempt to send a Word document or an attachment from Windows Explorer lotus notes error field is too large 32k by using File, Send To. Close Notes and from Microsoft Word create a new document. 4. Select File, Send To, to mail the new document. 5. Notes will launch and you are prompted for your password. 6. When you enter your password, you receive "Lotus Notes MailMan Error" with the OK button. 7. Click OK; the Inbox bookmark is open, but the Inbox is not displayed, and the area is gray. This issue has been reproduced with Notes 6.5 - 8.0/Office 2000 and Office 2003. In earlier releases of Notes that were tested, the error "Lotus Notes MailMan Error: The server threw an exception" displays, but this error was not reproducible in 6.5.x. Local fix 1. When I met this error, I did the fixup and compact, then It is OK.Jason on 01/09/2007 06:22 PM I seem to recall that this can happen if somebody has opened a database file (NSF, NTF, etc) on a local or network system by using the the file Browse button at the bottom of the Open Database dialog (rather than via Server and Database).
