Overflow error on the second line when compiled: Dim number As Double number = 1000 * 33 This example also returns a lotus notes error illegal circular use core email classes Overflow error on the second line when compiled: Dim number As Double number = 32767 + 1 The below example compiles but returns an Overflow error when triggering the MessageBox call: Dim number As Single http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/46dom.nsf/d6091795dfaa5b1185256a7a0048a2d0/55066b332b088bb485256de50057c1d7?OpenDocument Dim a As Integer Dim b As Integer a=1000 b= 33 number =a * b Messagebox number Answer These issues occur because the code is incorrectly treating the result as a variable of the Type Integer in certain cases: For cases where the formula is performing addition the issue only occurs if all fo the values being added are Integers and the total sum is greater than 32,767 or less than -32,768. http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21171565 (Integers have a range of -32,768 to 32,767) For cases where the formula is performing multiplicatin the issue only occurs if the first two values being multiplied are Integer values and the result of the operation is greater than 32,767 or less than -32,768. This issue has been reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# PCOY5ZJBNH; currently there are no plans to address the issue. Workaround: Make the operands non-Integers by one of the following: Add .0 on to the value. With addition this only needs to be applied to at least one value. For example: Dim number As Double number = 32767 + 1.0 For multiplication this must be done for at least the first operand: For example: Dim number As Double number = 33.0 * 1000 Declare at least one of the operand variables as the Type Long: Note: When working with variables and the multiplication case it doesn't matter if it's the first operand that is declared as a Long). Addition example: Dim number As Single Dim a As Long Dim b As Integer a=32767 b= 1 number =a + b Messagebox number Multiplication example: Dim number As Single Dim a As Integer Dim b As Long 'Use Long rather than Integer a=1000 b= 33 number =a * b Messa

When I run agent I get: Error: Cannot find Connector 'DB2COPY2' DB2COPY2 is name of my DB2 lotus notes client or instance, don't know how you call it. And next error is (probably due to first error) NO RESUME In the LotusScript I got line Dim conn As New LCConnection("DB2COPY2") Any ideas on first error? Thank you. lotus-notes share|improve this question asked Jun 6 '13 at 14:01 user1880405 12829 Is the DB2- connector installed on the server and can the "service"- User access the connection information? When working with ODBC you have to configure the ODBC as System- DSN, not User- lotus notes error DSN, I don't know if there is something similar with DB2... –Torsten Link Jun 6 '13 at 15:01 I don't think I have it installed, unless it comes by default. Where do I get it? –user1880405 Jun 6 '13 at 15:17 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote You want to access a data source without installing a driver for it. Its like wanting to drive a car without a key... This does not work. To access odbc data sources, you need tominstall an odbc driver (from the vendor of your database system). To accesss db2 databases, you need a db2- client installed on the server (delivered by ibm if you have the relevant licenses). In addition you could install decs (for free) or lei (quite cost intensive) to make it easier to configure the access to the data sources, but it will not make the drivers obsolete... share|improve this answer answered Jun 6 '13 at 20:54 Torsten Link 6,941625 I got the driver, now where do I put it? Cause it has no install, and I can't find explanation on the internet. –user1880405 Jun 7 '13 at 12:51 i have no idea, as I do not know, which driver from which vendor you have... And I am not a DB2 specialist at all... –Torsten Link Jun 7 '13 at 13:28 I think I found it. Thanks Tode. –user1880405 Jun 7 '13 at 13:31
