can have multiple email programs installed in Windows and you can use each independently. However, MAPI can be used to deliver messages from an application such as CTI Navigator Desktop internally in Windows only to one default email program. If mapi error codes you have multiple email programs installed in Windows and sending MLS reports out of CTI Navigator Desktop is encountering a MAPI or unspecified error, one or more email programs may be interfering with MAPI delivering messages internally to your preferred default email program, or Windows no longer associates MAPI with your preferred program. First ensure that the correct email program is set as the default Email Handler for Windows. To set the default mail handler in Windows 10 or 8.1, right-click on mapi error 0x80040107 Start > select Control Panel > Default Programs > Set your default programs > click on the appropriate email program in the list > select "Choose defaults for this program" > under MAPI, check "Send Mail" and click Save > click on the appropriate email program in the list (again) > select Set this program as default> OK. Mapi Error When Sending From Word 2010
Compatibility Question 0 Sign in to vote I have recently installed Microsoft Office Standard on my new laptap which runs Windows 7 Professional. http://www.ctimls.com/support/kb/error%20fixes/fix_mapi_error.htm When i am in Word and trying to send the document as an email attachment, I received an error dialogue box with the message "Word couldn't send email because of MAPI failure: "Unspecified error"." I clicked on the help button and have tried all the steps https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/c390d620-07cb-45b5-97c0-90a6055ba693/unable-to-send-word-document-as-attachment-to-an-email?forum=officesetupdeployprevious but no avail. The work around is to open Outlook and create an email with an attachment. This works BUT I would like to be able to use Word as it was designed. Anyone have a similar issue and suggested correction? Thanks! Wednesday, February 15, 2012 8:41 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote hi, I was able to repair the probelm by locating ‘fixmapi.exe’ in the C:\winnt\system32 or C:\windows\system32. Simply double-click Fixmapi.exe to repair. Alternatively, Open Control Panel, Add-Remove programs, locate Microsoft Office version X, Click on Change and initiate a repair of the installation. in addition these link will help you, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/293431 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=302599&product=wrd20 http://windowsforums.org/topic/6443-word-couldnt-send-mail-because-of-mapi-failure-unspecified-error/ hope this helps, thanks Marked as answer by Trish Thompson Sunday, February 19, 2012 7:45 PM Thursday, February 16, 2012 3:47 AM Reply | Quote A

Creating your account https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/210778-word-couldn-t-send-mail-because-of-mapi-failure-unspecified-error only takes a few minutes. Join Now This issue has been driving https://support.netdocuments.com/hc/en-us/articles/205218820-MAPI-error-when-sending-email-from-NetDocuments me crazy, I've looked at about 30 Google results, but nothing has fixed my problem. This error displays when sending an attachment via Word using the File > Save & Send > Send as Attachment, or any other ways of doing the same thing (e.g. "Email" in quick mapi error access toolbar). However, and this is important, it doesn't happen all the time. It's fine for a while then it suddenly starts happening. A restart of the computer fixes it temporarily, then it starts happening again. This is the one thing that differentiates my issue with everything I've found via Googling. This is only one user out of about 100 mapi error outlook that is experiencing this. I've recreated Windows profile, and even swapped their computer but the issue still remains. I've tried: - Closing Word and Outlook and reopening - Reinstalling Office - Recreating profile - Setting up user on different computer - Turning off caching of shared folders in Outlook - Moving subfolders out of Inbox in Outlook My last resort, which I haven't got around to yet will be reimaging the computer with the stock Windows image. However since we've swapped the user's computer and he's the only one with the issue, I believe it must be something to do with his profile, whether it be his Outlook mailbox, or something else unique to him. Any ideas and suggestions are most welcome! These buttons will use a "MAPI" call to open up the email message. This is the same call that is used by various other applications and features within Windows. For example, if you were to right-click on a document on your PC and choose "Send to > Mail Recipient" it would use this MAPI call to open the email message. Occasionally we have had reports from customers who either get a "Simple MAPI error 2" error message (see below) when using Email Link/Copy or the options won't work at all. This is generally caused by an issue with either the MAPI interface on the PC or by an issue with the mail client itself. A good troubleshooting step would be to try one of the other functions that uses this same MAPI call, like the Send to > Mail Recipient option, to determine where the issue lies. Another solution reported by a customer stated: "In our environment, the cause of this issue was having IE running in Protected Mode for the zone in which vault.netvoyage.com was contained. Via group policy, we place vault.netvoyage.com into our Intranet Zone so that it will be treated as a trusted site. We also turn on Protected Mode for the Intranet Zone to run a web-based utility for deploying software to our computers. This is supposed to be temporary, but it never affected anything else so we often leave it enabled. In each case where our users were experiencing the MAPI error when attempting to Email Copy via ND web using the email client integration, we found that Protected Mode was enabled for the Intranet Zone in IE. Once disabling Protected Mode for the Intranet Zone and re-starting IE, the issue went away. IE > Tools> Internet Options > Security > (select whichever zone vault.netvoyage.com falls into in your environment) >
